Dualcomm/Paitek patented DECA-200 PoE-over-Coax Adapter Kit is a first of its kind in the industry which includes two adapters (DECA-200A and DECA-200B), one adapter for connecting a Powered Device (PD) such as an IP camera to a Coax cable at one end and the other adapter for connecting the coax cable at the other end to a Power Source Equipment (PSE) such as a PoE enabled Ethernet switch. As such, an end-to-end PoE connection over the coax cable is established for transmission of full-duplex 10/100Base-T Ethernet data and PoE power between the PSE and the PD. Either DECA-200A or DECA-200B can be used to connect to a PD. For connecting to a PSE, DECA-200A should be used to connect to the PSE of “Mode A” as defined in the PoE standards 802.3af/at, and DECA-200B should be used to connect to the PSE of “Mode B”. The DECA-200 PoE-over-Coax Adapter Kit provides a very cost-effective way to migrate an analog video surveillance system to an IP camera video system by utilizing previously installed coax cabling. It allows you to replace analog cameras with IP cameras at your own pace as each DECA-200 PoE-over-Coax Adapter Kit can be installed independently. Note: [A limited supply of DECA-200-10M (Search for ASIN B0BZTK7T9L on desertcart) is available at a lower price of $39.98 per set. DECA-200-10M is limited to work reliably at 10Mbps which is more than enough for most high-resolution IP camera video transmissions. It is recommended to use DECA-200-10M with a managed PoE switch or NVR which can be manually configured to operate at 10Mbps.] Review: Spend the money on these instead of labor and new wire - I recently upgraded my outdated analog surveillance system to a modern IP-based setup, and the Dualcomm/PAIRTEK DECA-200 POE Ethernet-Over-Coax Adapter Kit made the transition an absolute breeze! This product deserves every bit of its 5-star rating for its incredible ease of use and game-changing ability to repurpose existing coaxial cabling. The plug-and-play design couldn’t be simpler. I connected the DECA-200A to my PoE switch and the DECA-200B to my new PoE-powered IP camera, using the existing RG59 coax cable from my old system. No configuration or technical expertise was needed—it just worked right out of the box! Within minutes, I had crystal-clear video streaming and power delivered to my camera, no hassle involved. The standout feature for me is how this kit eliminates the need to run new cabling. Rewiring my property for Ethernet would have been a costly and time-consuming nightmare, but the DECA-200 allowed me to leverage my legacy coax infrastructure to support modern PoE cameras. This saved me hours of labor and significant expense, making the upgrade process seamless and budget-friendly. The compact size (3.1” x 1.0” x 0.9”) and lightweight design (1.0 oz) make these adapters easy to install in tight spaces, and the transmission distance of up to 600 feet on RG59 coax ensured reliable performance across my property. The kit supports 10/100Base-T Ethernet and PoE standards 802.3af/at, delivering both data and power flawlessly to my high-resolution cameras. I also appreciate the thoughtful engineering behind the DECA-200A and DECA-200B adapters, which accommodate different PoE modes (Mode A and Mode B) for compatibility with various PoE switches. The fact that no additional power adapters are required further simplifies the setup. Overall, the Dualcomm/PAIRTEK DECA-200 is a brilliant solution for anyone looking to upgrade legacy surveillance systems without the headache of new wiring. It’s reliable, cost-effective, and incredibly user-friendly. I’m thrilled with the performance and highly recommend this kit to anyone modernizing their security setup Review: Great product if you need it - Currently using this to power a Ubiquiti G3 Dome camera. I originally had problems trying to get this to work in that the camera would not power-on when directly connected to the adapter (same for both Mode A and B). But after some trial and error I figured out that there is a compatibility issue from the camera, probably in the way that the camera determines whether to use 802.3af or 24v passive. Everything finally worked after adding a Ubiquity Instant 802.3af adapter between the Mode B adapter and the camera. So the order is: Ubiquity POE switch > Mode A adapter > Mode B adapter > Ubiquity adapter > G3 Dome. The Unifi video software was immediately able to see and adopt the camera.

These don't work, purchase a different brand
We tried these out for a retro job and they failed miserably. Spent lots of time trying to get these to work with different POE injectors and POE switches but nothing worked. When we tried to return these they said no, I am not happy with this response as the product does not do what it says it does. We ended up going with the EnConn version of this device and they worked right off the bat and have been going strong for a couple of months now. Bottom line, do not purchase these from dualcomm.

Fantastic product!
Unlike others who needed the UniFi PoE adapter, this thing worked right out of the box for me on a UniFi Switch 48-port (750W - Gen 1) with a UniFi Protect G4 Pro. I simply did Switch -> White (mode A) -> Coax -> Black (Mode B) -> G4Pro. The G4 Pro instantly started blinking white to power up, it works great and has a 100 Mbps signal. This was over about 120ft of RG59. The only thing I would change is to have the Ethernet and BNC ports come out of a long side instead of the short side (that is, turn them 90deg on the PCB) so that it will fit inside a standard single gang box. With the male Ethernet plug, BNC adapter, and coax connection, this gets too long to fit inside a single gang box... But that was solved by switching to a bigger box.

Perfect solution to getting security cameras in remote locations
As long as you've got some old coax running about the house, why not use it?!

Good small adapter
It worked. I love the fact that it is small form factor and POE. No additional power adapter is needed, just plug in the Cat 5/6 cable from the POE switch. The only problem is I could only got 10Mbps download/upload speed, not sure how to get to the 100Mbps level. I tested the bandwidth and it has been 10Mbps every time. Also the adapter uses a BNC connector, not compatible with residential F connector. Need to buy a BNC-F adapter before using this.

Works as advertised!
I have analog cameras over coaxal cable. The cameras need to be replaced and with this product I am able to use 4k camera with POE. I love having options and not having to run cat 5 or 6 in the attic will be very helpful.

Keeps losing connection
Passes power okay but seems to have issues with data transfer, seeing high packet loss and drop-outs.
