Very bad experience. Im shocked to see that the original seal of the product was completely tampered with and the container was taped with cello tape on the outside. The product consistency inside was not right either as I use matte gel all the time I know what it is supposed to be like. Very very disappointed.

Very good for knife painting

LOVE this medium. It can be used for all my mixed media work including covering shiny papers making them user friendly for all pens paints and pastes etc. Not keen on the textured feel though. It makes my hands irritable. The gloss is also useful on certain pieces of collage but I now use this all the time. It dries within 5 minutes and a thin layer is whats needed. The gritty feel on drying is what makes the work user friendly and it appear that no matter what I use it on it sticks. LOVE it......love the pot, easy to get big brushes in ......love the ease of use BUT its still a bit pricy like all good stuff.Amazon is the cheapest place to buy liquitex products. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to all crafters and artists.

I bought the big bucket of this based on the product listing title, as I just finished my previous bucket of Liquitex Modelling Paste. The product arrived today but it's not what I expected.Modelling Paste and Gloss Gel are very different products for different purposes.I just read through the description and it does say it is the Gloss Gel... 3 starts just because of the wrong title which left me with 4l of paint I dont need.If the seller changes the title, happy to change to 5 stars as the product itself is great.

I have never used this medium before and used it to create the base for a lemon and it was perfecttttt!!! So easy to use, not dry get but I applied it very thick. Very fun to use and you don't need to be an expert just a fun medium to play around with :)

I am a mixed media artist. You can imagine I use a lot of gel mediums. This Liquitex Matte Gel medium was perfect for me. I need a larger size but not too huge as I work in a small space. This fits the bill. Good product. Great Price. Shipped on time. No problems. I will order it again. from this seller.

The Matte Gel works well with mixed media art and the finish doesn't remain tacky, depending on your usage it should last for some time. It is great that it can be used to stick as well as to varnish - where you have collage materials. Well worth trying out to see if you like the consistency which is medium to thick, and it does go far.
