2% Salicylic Acid Natural Soap for Acne (4 oz Bar)

Awesome, effective, and more gentle than typical 2% salicylic washes. Truly love this stuff and use it daily. Highly recommend any products from this brand.

I first came across DermaHarmony when I needed a solution for my oily and acne-prone skin. Their 10% sulfur, 3% salicylic acid bar soap was the first product I experimented with. It worked really well and helped keep my face from getting super oily. It also dried out any remaining blemishes I had on my face. However, the sulfur smelled like rotten eggs, and I really needed a change from this particular soap. I kept smelling sulfur every time I walked into my bathroom. This is when I converted to DermaHarmony's 2% salicylic acid bar soap.This soap may have less of the essential ingredients comparatively to the 10% sulfur, 3% salicylic acid bar soap, but it also doesn't smell at all! It's still gentle enough to use daily (at least once a day) as long as you have a good moisturizer. If you're looking to travel with it, I found this bar soap container from SnowKingdom was the perfect fit. I am a fan of DermaHarmony, and I know I will be a repeat customer for my bar soap needs!

For a wash off treatment soap I had no issues and it exfoliated as I expected. I did leave it on for about a minute and worked great. I have had NO irritation with this bar. There’s no scent at all which is perfect! It has helped me with seborrheic dermatitis. I only use it about twice a week. If you have sensitive skin and want to dip your toes in a wash off exfoliant then this bar is a good start.Edit: I bought another bar and this time it smelled like urine. Not always just sometimes. I’m not sure what’s in this that’s causing this phenomenon. I’m probably gonna throw it out.

I never dealt with acne issues up until covid and having to wear a mask at work for long hours. I decided to switch to silk masks, but i was still breaking out, and yes i did wash my masks. I tried various different acne creams and none worked until i found this soap!! Ive been using it once daily for about 7 weeks now and I am so happy I came across it and its also affordable. My face has cleared up almost completely. Its soft and doesn't dry out my face that much. I recommend having a good moisturizer to put on afterwards.

After finally going through most of these soaps which seem to last in my head for about 2 weeks each, with daily shower use, it's a decent product. There is not much of a scent, and what little there is (as most things do have a scent), it's not unpleasant, flowery, fresh, etc but plain & reminded me of fresh cut wood lol. It lathers pretty good too. I'll buy again, except I wish the soap was slightly bigger. As for blemishes, it reduced acne & didn't dry me out, & that's me forgetting to moisturize after.

I bought this salicylic soap to treat my back acne. I've used it daily with a washcloth for about 2 weeks and I don't see too much of a difference yet. I will give it more time, though.I will say that i broke out a lot after a week or so of using it, but the breakout could have been caused by my own hormones, or different products that I used during the same time period (Paula's choice bha salicylic acid, and rosehip oil for hyper pigmentation). Perhaps salicylic acid is not effective enough for my skin.The main reason why i took off 2 stars was not because i broke out, but because this bar of soap leaves behind a residue on my skin even after rinsing well. This gives me the sensation that my pores are blocked and perhaps that causes my acne. I think that with a residue left on my skin, other products that I apply afterwards would not effectively work.This review is for the salicylic acid soap, not the one from the same company that also contains sulfur (which other reviews say smells like eggs). I don't know if the sulfur soap also leaves a residue.I will continue using this daily until the bar runs out. To put up with the stickiness on my skin, I'll probably have to wash twice, the second time with a different body soap

I have bad acne and I have tried many kinds of facewash, all of which didnt work. Worse, they made the acne worse at times. Then I realised that there are tons of ingredients and chemicals in most facewashes - including coloring agents like RED40. Thinking that the ingredients might be causing my skin to react badly, I thought of giving soap bars a shot since they have much fewer ingredients. I found this cheap option and it worked really well. Within 2 weeks, my acne has reduced considerably. Definitely recommended. I would recommend using it before sleeping and applying a moisturizer afterwards to keep overnight.
