I am a firm believer in LED bulbs but there are certain uses that they just do not satisfy our needs and I understand that these conventional bulbs will be outlawed in the US shortly. Therefore I purchased 24 of these bulbs and figure that they will last me for as long as I am alive.

200 watt incandescent bulbs are very hard to find. Now I've got enough to last for a long while. Longevity -- well, we'll see, eh?

I have pretty bad eyesight (Severely myopic, retinal detachments, cataract surgery...) so I need STRONG lights in order to see well and I can only get that with 200w incandescents. These fit my needs. They give off an extremely bright, soft white light that have made life much easier for me in my large, darkish apartment. I buy them exclusively now and I'm mostly satisfied. However, I do have two complaints.1. They've gone up quite a bit in price since I started purchasing them.2. They don't last past a few weeks. Sometimes I'll get a good run and get 1-2 months out of them, but other times they blow out in a couple of days, which is aggravating, considering the price.

Bought these to put in a heat lamp for my cat outside when it’s cold and he gives them two paws way up!!!

Use in my garage in ceramic fixtures. They are bright and light up the garage well. But in a pack of 12- 2 have not worked right out of the package and I replace 1 a week.

Great bulbs, but this pack of 12 bulbs all emitted a strange pungent odor intermittently; we had to them shut off. We were surprised about this since they were all GE. Just odd for GE incandescent soft white bulb, and especially the entire pack of 12 bulbs. But the packages of same GE bulbs from the store are all normal without any odor. So we obviously got a defective lot of bulbs.

Can't seem to find bulbs in stores anymore that work on a pedestal style lamp with an old (pre-LED-compatible) dimmer switch. Lots of different LED ones claim to be dimmable but have a noticeable flicker when being dimmed.Most of our house is LED now, because being energy efficient matters, but for this room we want the warm, smoothly dimmable light of an incandescent for the evening hours, and it needs > 100W, so was very happy with this find - let's hope it lasts long and I don't need to update this review with a correction!
