Whoa.
Like the earlier reviewer who was buying this because her Fontana syrup was running out, I thought this was going to be a compromise. And that if I didn't like it, I would try the DaVinci so I could see which one was best. Now, for those who read the ingredient lists, this is important: corn syrup is not the same thing as high fructose corn syrup. Don't let the 'corn syrup' part fool you, alright? Corn syrup is made from sugarcane, high fructose corn syrup is made from corn sugars (basically, I'm keeping this super simple). The Fontana syrup has HFCS in it, various synthetic components, yaddayadda. It tastes good. Pumpkin-y. Though I will say the formulation has definitely changed at some point in the last few years, and I've found that it has gotten over-sweet, and less flavourful (read: the pumpkin and spices has waned.)The Torani doesn't have HFCS, but it does have corn syrup (remember, it's made from actual sugarcane, not other fructose items), so if you find that part important, there y'go - the Torani is automatically better in that aspect alone. But - but how does it TASTE?For Christmas I got two jugs of the Fontana and, as usual, my family and friends plowed through it (okay, and I had more than my fair share, hey, I'm the family barista, okay?) and I noticed something odd - the thick, fresh pumpkin pie flavour I was used to - poof. Gone. Well, it was there, but not like I remembered it from the winters prior. I thought that I must just have changing tastes or whatever. Then I got the Torani as a replacement as I said, and let me tell you...it's better. It's better than when the Pumpkin Spice Latte came out almost a decade ago. Well, not quite that long, but close. Nutmeg, clove, allspice, ginger - those are present in quantity. Heck, you can *see* the spices suspended in the syrup. I know - the big question is - is it pumpk-y? Yes. OMG yes. If you were to put some of this in a bowl or cup or saucepan and heat it up, it would literally smell just like a pumpkin pie taken out of the oven. What's more, is that it TASTES like that. It tastes exactly how it smells. Caramel-spice-pumpkin. This stuff? It's the best I've ever had. I'm ordering more, and hiding the second bottle I've got so my husband doesn't get into it.I will say this however for the Torani - well, two things:1: The new jug design is horrible, the pumps for it fall apart, drip, and all that. It's just utterly, utterly horrible2: You do have to use an ounce for a 12oz latte or macchiato to get the pumpkin taste and any sweetness. Which means you are putting in two tablespoons of sugar. (For a coffee that I use homemade syrups in, I only have to use half an ounce to get flavour and sweetness that strong. And I just use pure cane sugar. Then again, I do use baker's emulsions for flavouring - similar to hard candy oils, but meant to deal with heat better.)

Love it but need to use quickly
Love it but need to date the side. We didn't go thru the old one fast enough and it molded. It's yummy and does not taste sugar free. I put a finger tip of a plastic glove on end so bugs can't get in.

A little goes a long way
I am a pumpkin spice addict any time of the year so this is great because it allows me to be my own barista at home and save tons of money on those expensive drinks!! This is a very thick, very delicious pumpkin pie spice sauce and a little goes a long way. When I do the math on it, what would cost me almost $11 dollars at the coffee shop costs me a little over $1.50 at home. WORTH IT!!!!

Excellent taste! Be sure to use powdered spice on top...
UPDATE: This tastes great in regular coffee :-) Try two pumps in a larger coffee cup when they stop selling Pumpkin Spice creamer in the stores. This and regular French Vanilla creamer and it's very good. :-)FOR ESPRESSO MAKERS: I've owned and used the Starbucks Pumpkin sauce for many years but it's just become way too expensive. I gave this a chance and don't expect the exact same taste, but it's really good!! Be sure to buy their pump as well. I own many pumps and theirs is made for this bottle.MOST IMPORTANT when you make your Pumpkin Spice Latte's at home... BUY SOME PUMPKIN SPICE to sprinkle on top. McCormick spices are great and straight up, if you don't use a sprinkle on top of your coffee regardless of which pumpkin sauce you use, it just won't taste right. It's the "secret sauce" (per-se) at Starbucks and at home.I've made espresso drinks for many years at home and the one thing I hate doing is steaming milk.... and I haven't done that for quite a while. Just microwave your milk and you'll get no foam, but so what? Be sure to buy a little strainer to pour your hot milk so you don't get little pieces of skim at the top of the milk.I make two of them in Venti cups from 'bucks. I use 3-4 shots espresso in both, 2 pumps of THIS NEW SAUCE (each pump dispenses a lot) , two Equal (my taste) and in a Pyrex i microwave 4 cups milk for 5 1/2 min. After pouring and stirring, I do a dash of pumpkin spice powder on top and I'm good to go.Photos are to show bottle size comparisons.Enjoy! :-)

My name is Pixie, and I'm an addict.....
This is a Pumpkin lifesaver! Kept me out of Starbucks for the Fall season! I figure the $23. pricetag is about equivalent to the cost of 5 Starbucks fancy seasonal beverages. Not being a total addict, maybe I'd have craved a pumpkin drink once a week, but considering I have 3 teen daughters who are also pumpkin fiends, I'm figuring we would have easily dropped $100 in expensive coffees over the season, all told. That's a huge savings!By purchasing the Sauce, I got more than a month's worth of pumpkinny beverages for all of us at a much more reasonable cost. It was an awesome treat to have a Pumpkin fix whenever I wanted one, courtesy of the K-Cup machine and a couple pumps of this heavenly concoction. Now, I am not going to argue the finer points of the Sauce's authenticity compared to Starbucks' blend. I'm just not that picky. This stuff is delicious, and that's that. It provides wonderful pumpkin spice flavor in coffee, on ice cream, even just licked off your finger when you accidentally spill a precious drop!Buy the pump along with the sauce. It's worth the convenience. You'll use it again next year, when the Pumpkin season hits and you crave the warm spicy goodness of a Pumpkin coffee.I won't be ordering a replacement for my Sauce for another year, because apparently this is like crack to me and I can't have it around on a regular basis, but next year I will definitely be picking up another one to satiate our Pumpkin desires.

Great alternative to add to my coffee drink!
Tasted good. I used it in my coffee for a sugar free option. Pretty good size container for the price.
