Case for Silky Bigboy (504-36)

Saw a few negative reviews complaining about the "fit"—it fits just fine if you insert the correct side first. I get it, directions would help some folks, but at some point, common sense has to carry a little weight. Sure, they could slap a giant label or a flashing arrow on it, but that would mostly insult the rest of us who managed without one. Bottom line: the holster is solid, well-made, and works exactly as intended—as long as you approach it with at least a modest grasp of spatial awareness. If your friends constantly joke about you struggling with IKEA instructions, this might be above your pay grade.

bought this to hold my BigBoy saw. I use it on my motorcycle for dual sport riding and had hoped that it would be a secure way to attach to my bike that would be easier to get the saw quickly when I need to stop to cut deadfall out of the trail (saw is awesome BTW). However this case is not a snug fit. I guess it wasn't what I was thinking it was. For attaching to your belt and walking around, it would be fantastic but for mounting the case to my bike and riding thru the woods, the saw would be lost in minutes (there's nothing holding the saw in place except gravity). I will see if I can figure out a strap system to retain the saw, but for my purposes at least, this didn't match up. Very good quality holder, and for casual/walking use, it would rate a 5 star, but for my intent (locking/holding the saw more securely) I give it a four star. I'll go back and read the product details and see if maybe I just missed the fact that it doesn't hold the saw securely but is more of a pocket for the saw.

The Silky BigBoy Saw Sheath allows one to work hands free. I take my Silky BigBoy with me on all of my camping/bushcraft trips. It makes life easier when you're foraging for and cutting wood away from the campsite, because you can holster the saw. When space in your pack is at a premium, the holster allows you to attach saw to your pack with a molle system or carry it on your belt. The actual "sheath" which is made of hard plastic, is detachable from it's belt loop, so when you're finished sawing wood, you can holster the sheath and then remove it from the loop without having to unfasten your belt and slide it off. It's also compact enough so that while you're wearing it, you can stoop down and not have it hit the ground, like some of the holsters for Silky's other saws. For me, it's been worth the extra money and I wouldn't be without it on any camping/bushcraft trip.

There is a lot to like about this case. It is sturdy but not heavy. The belt loop makes it easy to stash the saw rather than put it on the ground when I need to move cut branches or trees. In the case, the saw sits securely and is not at risk of falling out. The saw is easily removed with one hand. (I don’t have to hold the case still while pulling out the saw. I’ve got a couple large downed trees on the property that I’m having to cut up. Being able to quickly stow the saw and climb or haul cut branches is much safer because there is no risk of the saw opening and I have both hands to clamber over tree trunks and such. The little clip to separate the case from the belt loop is also helpful when I sit down to rest. I’ve been hanging the saw and case on a hook through the hole in the belt loop when I’m not using it. The weight of the saw in the case does not put any stress on that hole. This was a very useful addition to my silky saw. If I lost mine, I would buy another immediately.

Perfectly functional and vey affordable. Saw fits well and is retained with out issue. I literally have 0 complaints about this sheath. For 9$ its awesome.

I have two Silky Big Boy saws, one with a curved blade and one with a straight blade. The saw with the curved blade is about 3/16 wider overall when closed and has a very slight friction fit into the sheath. The saw with the straight blade does not friction fit and rattles around quite a bit. I am not climbing trees with the sheath on, but I could imagine that if the sheath got a bit tilted to slightly upside down, the saw with the straight blade could slide right out. The sheath does seem very well made of resilient plastic but it's really unfortunate that it does provide positive retention of all blade variations of the Big Boy saw.

銃と同じくホルスターが有るのと無いのでは段違い(^○^)。林にビックボーイを置き忘れる事もなさそうです。きっちりスポッと入るのが気持ちいいです。

ちょっと長めのビッグボーイなので腰袋では邪魔になるので専用を購入しました。

緩いというレビューを見てちょっとビビリながら注文してみたけどピッタリだった たぶん緩いと言ってる人は入れる向き逆なんじゃないかと ビッグボーイの折り畳みのボタンついてる側を差し込むとビシッと入る 逆向きだとたしかにガタガタする 想像していたよりケースの横幅があるけど裸でリュックに突っ込んでたのに比べればずっとスマートでいい 願わくばもう少し値段安いと嬉しい

専用なので全く問題無し

所有の折りたたみノコがピッタリ収まり購入して良かったですが、ベルト通しの部分の素材が薄くベルト使用の頻度が高いと千切れそうな感じです？！
