It's a very fine sand, not an issue but I may need about 10 more pounds due to the miscalculation on my part as well. Do what the directions say on rinsing the sand before you put in your tank. I saw where people was calling this "mud" and it's clearly not. I just put mine in a bucket, put the water hose on slow let it roll out for a few minutes and then pour it out the excess filled it again until the water was clear. It took about 10 minutes total and then I scooped it out of the bucket and put it in the tank replacing the crushed coral that I had taken out. It will settle after a few hours as any sediment or sand would. I'm definitely digging the look over coral for sure.

Pretty good
Great product. The color is exactly what I wanted and it's the right grain. I'm a little bummed about the price. It's almost double what I originally had to pay but the product is great quality.
