It is very easy to install & works great. It is very quiet.

My old disposal was leaking and also seizing up on me. So I knew I had to replace it with a new one. I got this one because I liked all the features it had with it. It was pretty easy to install and wire in. It works good and does a good job at clearing out all the debris. It’s not real loud when being used as well.The frame and the drain part seem to be very durable and made well. It did not weight a lot so putting it into place wasn’t bad. I did install this alone with no help. The motor is pretty powerful and does its job with ease.I would not a problem with buying this disposal again if I needed another one.

installation was easy. worked well. noise or sound was normal IMHO.price was good and quality seems decent.. has only been a bit since i have installed it , but so far i am very pleased.has a 1/3rd HP and now up to 1/2 HP. looks like rust killed my original one.

Easy to install, took less than 30 minutes all in. GD is quieter than the one it replaced, but that said, I would not exactly call it "quiet". Seems to work well--can't speak to the longevity since I just installed it. Appears about as well made as other more expensive disposers. My only issue was the GD was packaged on top of the plumbers putty that came with it. As can be expected, the plumbers putty container was squeezed/ crushed and the top was off. Glad it was in a plastic bag or would have been a real mess. Whomever is packaging items for shipment, this is an issue as it's the third product purchased from amazon in the last week that arrived poorly packaged in a manner that makes no sense.

Installed in 20 minutes yesterday, much lighter, quieter and doing great performance than my 5years old heavy bulky rusted insinkerator badger 5.I’ve been using only insinkerator but would never go back to it.

Easy to install! Great price! Works like a champ! Not too heavy! Powerful even for its size! Definitely impressed!

I've now purchased two of these, one for our home and one for our rental property. Both of them replaced the Insinkerator Badger units that builders seem to always use. I'm beyond impressed with the Waste Maid.If you currently have an Insinkerator, the install for the Waste Maid will be unbelievably simple. The mount is identical, so you can just unscrew the old unit and screw this one in place. This unit weighs about half of what the Insinkerator does, which makes getting it aligned less of a struggle.This unit is *extremely* quiet compared to the unit it replaced. If there's no waste in the disposal, it's actually hard to tell if it's running or not. Power seems perfectly adequate for a normal family application. We haven't tried chicken bones or anything, but it's handled all the ordinary food waste without incident.Considering this might be the least expensive unit available at the moment, it's hard to come up with a reason to look at anything else.

Much better than expected. I was a little worried but it's got plenty of power, it's quiet, and was easy to install. The drain pipe was a little short, but I just cleaned and used my old one. It fit fine.
