Low noise, High creamyi factor!
Amazing for making small portions. Not as loud as the creami but just as effective!

A bit misleading but the results are great!
I don't feel like Cuisinart should be marketing this as "fast" or "3-minute" anything. Yes, before eating it you only need 3 minutes to churn it up and eat it BUT you have to mix up and freeze the ingredients a full 24 hours prior to that. We tried two recipes that were included in the booklet and loved both! A mango sorbet (we used peaches because that's what we had) and the the chocolate ice cream (used the cookies and cream recipe minus the cookies). The chocolate tastes EXACTLY like storebought chocolate ice cream. I think the amount you get in the container is great; it's less than a pint container but not by much, and worked well for four little scoops alongside another dessert. Using it is pretty easy. My nine year old could see how to work it but wasn't tall or strong enough to push down. The peach one we had to run through twice because I made the chunks of fruit too big, and the mango recipe would have been softer with actual mangoes. The chocolate came out perfect in just a couple of minutes! Smooth, not grainy texture. I think this would be a great thing to own for anyone who likes ice cream or frozen desserts. It's not very big, you could use it as a blender for small things like individual soups, smoothies, or sauces, and if you think ahead a bit, you can have custom ice cream in the freezer ready to go. I am excited to figure out a coffee ice cream recipe, or maybe a margarita inspired one! I think we will get a good bit of use out of this and I intend to buy more of the base cups.

Quick and Easy to Use, Works Well, Small Batches, Handles Fruits and Nuts, Cups are Dishwasher Safe
The Cuisinart FastFreeze Ice Cream Maker is a welcome addition to our kitchen. The process is simple and rewarding, starting with freezing the ingredients in the provided half-pint cups for 24 hours. The next day, we attach the cup to the base, select one of the presets (ice cream, milkshake, slushy, sorbet, or mix-ins) and press down on the blending head. The machine is reasonably quiet as it blends everything together quickly. We get better at estimating the right amount of time to swirl the frozen mixture with each batch, learning to use the right preset and watching the green and red indicator lights. Our first batch was good, and we got better after that. The treats we make taste fresh, far better than anything from the store. It's homemade ice cream, after all. My wife loves adding fruit and nuts to her creations, and it's nice to know exactly what goes into our dessert. The machine is compact and easy to store, and since the dessert cups are detachable and dishwasher-safe, cleanup is easy. It's so useful that we might need more cups so we can always have a couple in the freezer, ready to go. We expect this machine to last for years, and we're looking forward to all the great ice cream we'll make.Since it's such a fun thing for us, our plan is to buy them for family this Christmas. We'll be giving them fun with an ice cream reward.

MAKES TASTY ICE CREAM; FREEZE AHEAD TO HAVE A TREAT READY TO CHURN IN A FLASH; EASY TO USE.
What a neat little treat maker! Plan ahead to freeze up to three containers of a base, and a treat is ready to churn the next day or later. Mix it well before freezing. A single container holds a 1-cup treat, enough for 2 small servings or 1 larger one, just right for one or two people. I made the vanilla ice cream recipe in the Instruction & Recipe Booklet to share with my husband. It was so tasty, like soft serve, and churned in about one minute. Churning a second time would make it thicker, like regular ice cream. To experiment, I made chocolate ice cream by adding 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder to the vanilla recipe. It was very good too. I also made a mocha slushy with the following: 1/2 cup strong coffee, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2 teaspoons dark chocolate cocoa powder, and 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar. I froze the base for a couple days and churned it twice. It was good although the base separated a bit during freezing. I’ll have to work on that one. The ice cream maker is small and easy to use and clean. The instructions include some special notes to follow. For example, to get the motor started, press the power button before applying pressure to the handle. Also, the power button isn’t released until the handle comes back up (on its own) at the end. This treat maker is fun to use. The recipe booklet has a few ideas, but a little creativity can lead to new ones.

Does NOT freeze nor make ice cream- this is a blender and it doesn't work very well
I don't know if Cuisinart is trying to be intentionally misleading or what the marketing scheme is but the Cuisinart FastFreeze Ice Cream Maker – Quick 3-Minute Ice Cream Machine is presented as an ice cream maker when it absolutely is not. It's a hand blender to mix an already frozen ice cream base to a desired softness: ice cream, milkshakes, slushies, sorbet, and mix-ins. It doesn't freeze ice cream nor make ice cream- it mixes it.The box contains three freezable bowls/dessert cups with lids, the blender, and a recipe book with some basic recipes. Many are to mix fruit and cream with sugar and freeze it 24hours before blending it with the mixer. I'm not sure why it says Fast Freeze. Using my standing mixer with the ice cream bowl gets me soft serve ice cream in minutes and is faster than this.I honestly feel dupped! It's really overpriced for what it is and I would not recommend it as it seems like an unnecessary tool for the kitchen- It only has one use.The plus side would be the ability to mix different bases for different people and then using this to make it to their desire softness, but again I don't need this machine to do that. Put the base in a bag and freeze it overnight, break it into chunks, and blend it in a blending machine until it's soft.
