Hasn't missed a beat in 6 months, I use it to run PC fans on a custom server rack for some help getting air out/into the enclosure.

Works as expected
These cables work exactly as expected as I used them on some Arctic fans which I have in my server cabinet and they spin at full RPM when connected to USB using these cables. The reason for 4 stars is it would be great if they could be varied so you can dial up or down the voltage, granted that might be expecting too much but if there was a revision to allow this then I would be more than happy to give it 5*

Excellent device, can increase or decrease fan speed for performance or silence!
Works perfect with the Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fan, I can now use the dial to increase the fan performance to low or high or in-between. This gives me the benefit of picking the right noise I want and if I do require a bit more better cooling performance I can increase the dial to push the fan more better but this comes at the price of more noise. Its expensive, but its the best fan controller via USB on the entire market, the others have cables that do similar are chunky have boxes and power inputs but this ones slim and simple and just works.

Gebildet 12V USB Fan Adapter - Perfect for Noctua Fans (and More)!
I bought this Gebildet USB fan adapter specifically to power my Noctua NF-S12B redux-700 fan. As you know, these Noctua fans are fantastic for quiet operation, but they're 12v fans and USB ports only put out 5v. This little adapter solves that problem perfectly.Plug and Play SimplicityThis adapter is incredibly easy to use. It plugs into any standard USB port and then connects directly to your 3-pin or 4-pin PC fan. No muss, no fuss - just instant power for your fan.Powers Noctua Fans PerfectlyI can confirm that this adapter delivers the full 12v needed to run my Noctua fan at its intended speed. This means you get the maximum airflow and quiet operation that Noctua fans are known for.Great for Various NeedsWhile I use this with a Noctua fan, this adapter is a great solution for anyone who wants to run a 12v fan from a USB port. It's perfect for cooling down electronics projects, game consoles, or anything else that could benefit from some extra airflow.Overall ImpressionsThis Gebildet adapter is a lifesaver for anyone who wants to use a 12v fan with a USB power source. It's simple to use, works flawlessly, and lets you enjoy the full performance of your fan. Highly recommended!

Works as advertised and good quality
Used this to turn my 2nd Noctua AF14 fan into a desk fan, this allows it to run at full speed and the switch is also very useful. If you are using it for this purpose, make sure to get a fan grill, I 3d printed mine so i don't know how easy they are to source.

When you need this, amazon saves the day
You should be able to solder. Well yes, but I've got Parkinson's and if I didn't I'm not convinced Id rather solder when I can burn a few quid on a kit like this to do the job.My photo shows a raspberry pi model 4b in a passive heatsink box. There's a poshnoctua fan on top, it's 5V 3 pin, hence this product let me power the fan from the rpi USB2 socket. It was audible so Ihad to slow it down, and I used a usb inline fan speed controller. It's the blue light and knob in the photo Incidentally those controllers can drive 12V fans full speed with 5V USB which makes this product more widely useful
