best way to adapt a 3" inlet muffler or tailpipe to 2.75 OD exhaust tubing
when you try to install a 3" inlet tailpipe or muffler onto 2.75" OD exhaust tubing you are left with a almost 1/4" gap that has to be filled in with weld. This adapter eliminates that gap and make for a nice clean transition from 2.75" to 3". I used it to install a 3" muffler and 3" exhaust tip to my Silverado's stock 2.75" exhaust tubing and it worked great!

Fits 392 Scatpack Exhaust
Perfect fit for 2017 Dodge Charger Scatpack 392 stock exhaust. I installed new mid mufflers and used these along with 3" clamps. You could use clamps along with muffler grey sealant for an airtight fit, or you could have them welded on permanently. If you do decide to have them welded on, don't use any of the grey muffler sealant.

installed 3" muffler on 2.75" exhaust
Exactly what I needed to install a 3" Magnaflow muffler on my 2003 Silverado with a 2.75" exhaust. went inside the Magnaflow (3") inlet/outlet and over the factory (2.75") exhaust. Used exhaust clamps (2 3" and 2 2.75") to assemble it all - will likely have it all welded up later.

2.75” is not 2.75”.
All I wanted is a 2.75” to 3” to slide into a 3” and a 3.2 (flared) end over the 3”. The 3” was the right size but the 2.75” was way bigger than 2.75 as it did not fit in a 3” at all even with significant physical force. Trying to fit it would have resulted in ovaling….. very poor quality control.

Great product!
It does exactly what it’s intended for, so since it went on so smooth and I have had no problems with it I gave a perfect rating why not.
