Genuinely an appalling and potentially dangerous device
Firstly, this cooker looks good, no question. Looking like a sort of mini-range, it has appeal and character. It ends there. This is hands down the worse cooker I have ever used (and I've used and owned a lot).I cannot emphasis how atrocious and downright dangerous this unit is.Firstly, known faults: The grill/upper oven door hinge. A well known fault with this unit is the hinge supports failing, resulting in the door unable to support its weight and hanging open. A Stoves engineer did come out and rectify this, (fortunately within our years warranty), he said its ridiculous Stoves haven't addressed this as its been a known fault for a long time and is almost a guarantee it will happen.Oven: The most infuriating issue with the unit: takes an age to heat, the performance is terrible and the gas constancy cuts out. The gas mark levels are at least one below what they should be, so if your advised to use Gas mark 6, you need to use Gas mark 8, and allow an at least an extra 10-20 minutes cooking time. Numerous people having commented on the oven when trying to use it- it is genuinely appalling.Hobs: Constantly cut out. Not only is this infuriating when you have left something to heat on the hob but it is also dangerous. I've lost count of the amount of times I've come back to the hob to find the flame out and the kitchen smelling of gas.Note: I have had 2 gas engineers come out and nothing was found to be wrong with our supply. All cooker connections were also checked by them and by the Stoves engineer. Leading to the conclusion there is an underlying manufacturing fault.Do not make the same mistake I did and get lured in by the good aesthetics of this device. If you value your sanitary and safety do not touch this with a barge pole.
