Fantastic!!
Works fantastic. Plug in the power, rca (yellow-red-white)video/audio in from your DVD player, and Coax output to your TV. There is a Coax input for another source, such as a satellite box, cable box, or regular cable. It only comes on when a video signal is present. It also has a S-Video input on it however, when I did this I noticed considerable interference on both channel 3 and 4. So just save your time and hook up via Yellow-Red-White RCA cables from whatever you are trying to use.So due to the S-Video interference issue I am giving it 4 stars. It's a solid buy and I would highly recommend this purchase. This DOES NOT include RCA cables or Coax, so make sure you have them on hand or add them to your order.

better then expected
i bought this for my mother who had just gotten a older model television that did not support her dvd player. it arrived faster then i expected it too, much to my mothers excitement. the price for this was incredibly inexpensive, i found the same item at a local store for nearly $50. i rated this a 4 because the instructions weren't very clear and it took some trial and error to get it right, other then that it worked perfectly. the only problem i had was the dvd player i tried to hook up to it just would not work but the second one i tried worked just fine. i would recommended this to anyone that has a older model tv and wants to run a dvd player or game system through it.

Works great (but beware dollar store coax cables!)
I am very happy with this product. It works exactly as advertised. When I first hooked up my new modulator and a DVD player to an old TV, I got a terrible, snowy picture. Having been bitten by cheap coax cables before (the ones that go to the threaded F connector), I suspected that the one I had bought at the dollar store was poor quality. Sure enough, when I replaced it the picture was perfect.I have only had the modulator one day, and a couple of the other reviewers had theirs fail early. I noticed "Limited Lifetime Warranty" on the package, so if it goes bad, get a new one!

Above Expectations
Received modulator in just a few days. As usual the directions were more confusing than necessary but still helpful. Actually, I was making it more complicated than it was. Could not get the thing to work on the new TV. Called the standby family electronic genius (grandson). He came over and in less than 30 seconds had the modulator working. He simly went to the TV menu program and opened the link to the modulator. I'm still old school where TV's have an on and off button with volume control. A real good buy and $30 cheaper than Radio Shack's version which I had to return.

Put those old TV's back into service!
I have Direct TV, and their HD boxes do not have coaxial out. This was a great solution to put some dust collectors back in service. I now have a fleet of TV's in my basement working off this clever device. Just tune to channel 3 or 4 and you can see what's on the Direct TV box, or DVD (switching done through surround sound stereo). It's great for sports - now I never miss a play. I recovered my 20" Sharp from a dust bunny in the corner of my basement and its 13" retarded cousin. Now they are on display for viewing in the bar area, and on a shelf next to the treadmill. Of course they all play the same show - but for the price, how can you not put those old tube sets back on?

It works! Four stars.
As a normally tech-savvy person, I made the unusual move of ordering this RF modulator totally blindly, knowing only that I needed an RF modulator, but not knowing exactly what an RF modulator is, and finding very little helpful information on the internet about whether all RF modulators work with all electronics. Fortunately, it worked with my DVD and VCR, and I didn't need to think about it again. If it worked with my very new DVD and very old VCR, then presumably it will work with yours too.You may need a coax cable to attach the RF modulator to your TV.

Worked Just As Expected
With the use of a 1ft coax cable, I was able to hook my Wii up to the old TV at the Vagabond Inn. When I tried to do the same thing at an Extended Stay Hotel, I couldn't do it (not that the unit didn't work) because that particular hotel (and I imagine nicer hotels) have a wireless page that comes up that must be filled out and since the Wii isn't a computer, it won't let you. So, in short, if you need to hook up something newish to an old tv set, this is a great solution that provides options for composite and better picture.

Great little device, at the lowest price out there!
I'm very happy with this purchase, and so far have not had any technical problems with this RF modulator. I have an older TV that cannot be directly connected to a DVD player. Since the TV is still in great condition, it seems a waste to buy a new TV just to be able to connect my DVD player. Buying this RF modulator was a great, and cheap, solution. After I bought this on Amazon for around $9, I saw the same item at a "discount" super-store for around $17. I recommended this to a friend, and he's happy with it so far, too. At this price, it can't hurt to give it a try!
