After actually sitting in those, we were shocked by how uncomfortable they were.We decided to take a chance on these loungers instead, and wow — what a game-changer. They are leaps and bounds more comfortable than the high-priced ones and cost just a fraction of the price. Yes, it’s worth it.Setup & First ImpressionsInstallation was straightforward but not what I’d call “easy.” It’s much smoother with two people: one to hold pieces in place, the other to work the bolts. Once assembled, the first thing you notice is how hefty and sturdy it feels. It takes a minute to soak up water and settle in, but once it does, I haven't seen it move an inch... unless I want it to (more on that later).In the WaterMy baja shelf sits exactly at 15", and the chair sank right down and stayed put, after maybe 30 seconds of pushing it down. No floating, no drifting. I was initially surprised to see there’s metal sitting in the water, but I’m assuming (and hoping) it’s marine-grade since it’s clearly designed for this use case.Design & ComfortThe sleek, curvy form, especially on the riser (sold separately), gives it a smaller footprint than most loungers, meaning it fits my tiny Baja shelf where others wouldn’t. There is a slight line where the seat sections meet, unlike the smooth surface of one-piece designs, but considering this was about 50% less expensive than those, I’ll take that tradeoff any day.Durability & LongevityIt’s been in the water for a week with no issues so far. Solid, stable, and still looking great. I’ve already ordered a second, which probably tells you all you need to know. Besides the fact that people generally want to sit next to a friend on these things:PValueFor the price, it’s a no-brainer. It not only elevates the pool’s look but also upgrades my lounging game. Pro tip: just get it in the water first. Once it’s "waterlogged", it’s surprisingly easy to move around despite the weight.Bottom LineIf you’ve got a small baja shelf and a taste for stylish, stable relaxation, this lounger delivers in spades. I picked up a pair of these pool loungers (as well as 2 sets of risers, as I have an 18” deep baja step). Set up was a breeze. Literally had both chairs and both sets of risers in the water in under 20 minutes (5 screws per lounger, and 2 screws each per riser).The quality of these loungers is fantastic. Also, there is no plastic-y smell like many similar items. I have had the “name brand” version of these at 4x the cost, and these are certainly just as good! High recommended!

Baja shelf pool lounge chairs are awesome. Easy to assemble, easy to use. The risers help bring it comfortably above the water line. My Baja shelf depth was about 10” deep so the water sits a little in the butt area and just at the lip of the chair. Thanks!
