Kum 303.58.21 Plastic Lead Pointer Pencil Sharpener, 1 Assorted

You'd think there is nothing to say about these, but blow fifty bucks on alternatives, and you see the differences. The only "con" is the lack of color choice, but real men are fine with pink. Right? If anyone wants a pink one, let me know. Anyway, aside from the color, this is thin, very light, sharpens the lead perfectly, and the dust is manageable (graphite goes all over with any and all of these sharpeners, for best results, sharpen over a Kleenex or a trashcan or go ahead and be stubborn and have grimy fingers like mine). I had several dozen 2.0mm leadholders before I started thinking about ways to sharpen the leads, and this is the best one on Amazon, possibly in the world. They seem expensive considering their components and tiny size, but the competition is as bad or worse, and sharpens less well and usually get more pulverized graphite everywhere. Five stars, repeat buyer.

Cute but be aware that the order is for only one sharpener, not one assortment of 4 "assorted" sharpeners as shown, works fine sturdy polystyrene for 2mm mechanical pencils, "Kum 303.58.21 Plastic Lead Pointer Pencil Sharpener, 1 Assorted". To be fair I misinterpreted the description (probably a less than optimal translation from original Chinese) and was surprised to find only one in the package expecting 1 assortment of four in different colors. Would not say a good deal price for just one. They are small, I put a string on it right away to minimize misplacing it.

I had a small lead pointer like this years ago that was a free 'hand-out' from some company. It worked wonderfully and I loved it. When I saw these little gems I jumped at the chance to get one. I was, however, shocked at the price. It arrived quickly and looked exactly as pictured. I put a point on a 2H lead and the result was not as I had hoped; it was blunt. I thought I was using it incorrectly so tried every way I could think of to get a nice point on the lead. I have yet to accomplish getting a sharp point on any lead; they are all blunt! Not acceptable. I examined the razor and feel it is quite sharp and more than enough to put a good point on any lead. I am going to try to loosen the razor and angle it differently. This may prove fruitless but I'm going to try. Stay tuned.

These 2m lead sharpeners are wonderful and easily deliver a very sharp point. I just wish they had holes so ribbon or a chain could be attached as they are very small and light and easily get lost.

You only get one and it’s over price

Its very tiny and space saving...Easy to carry .. though its very tiny but it does the job perfectly..I am in love with it.. Surprised to find it on amazon.. other big brands give the same thing but burns your pocket.. Though its doing the job just bang on..But could be a bit cheaper..As production cost may be 5 times leader than the product.

The sharpener is a great sharpener however you only get one sharpener. You can buy these for three bucks instead of $13. What a rip off.
