looks nice and the weight is nice for stability
nice look and weight is substantial enough so it doesn't tip easily. However the mechanisms don't allow for for vending some items like individually wrapped candy, like mints for example. It is best suited for smooth items like unwrapped gumballs or hard candy.

Required drilling holes in metal base
Only 1 of 3 holes in the metal stand would align. I had to use a metal drill to enlarge/elongate 2 of the holes so the screws would line up.

Excellent machine. Thick base.
Bought as a 2nd birthday present for my Granddaughter from my Dad...He has had a blast with this machine with his great grandbaby. The base/pole is thicker than others... no tipping issues whatsoever. Mechanisms work smoothly.
