I wish Amazon had suggested these sooner. I built my office chair out of a Nismo racing seat and an old office chair bottom many years ago. The wheels never rolled easily and were marking my hardwood floor. It took me 5 minutes to install and now my chair moves so fast I need to relearn it. Very smooth, very quiet. Best impulse buy I've made in a long time.

These were all I hoped for. Well made. Good design. Really like the ball bearings on each side of the wheels and the swivel at the top. I did use light non-greasy/oily spray lube on them. They wouldn't need it just for an office chair on hard flooring. I use them on a berber short-mid nap carpet and wanted the least resistance. I use them on a bedside stand and not a chair.

The media could not be loaded.  Hi all, the old Cajun here. Now retired; I spend a bit of time at my home desk, and needless to say in my chair. The floors were carpet wntil just recently. I was using a floor mat, but the wheels never worked well on this flooring. Now I have wooden floors, and because the original wheels were cheep plastic, I had Concerns they would damaged the flooring. Saw these wheels here on Amazon and though I would give them a try. Well, I will say that I am not disappointed. They were easy to install and was 100% compatible with the wheel Stims of the original wheels. ( chair is a Serta ). After using these new wheels for about three weeks now, I find they perform wonderfully. Now the new wheels have a larger diameter then the original one, but this is not an issue, for you need only to lower the chair Height. The new wheels roll smoothly, and are very stable. The wheels are made of a soft rubber-like Material, and though at this time I am using a floor mat upon the wooden floors, I will be removing the mat for I believe the new wheels will not harm wood. As I write this, I will be ordering a another set for my good wife's chair.In closing, I do recommend this product.Hope that helps you-all.Keep safe.

fast, affordable, easy to install

So I bought 5 sets of these to replace rigid cheap plastic office chair casters. These are simple to install and roll smooth as glass on carpet or laminate floors. I like the black wheels over the clear because over time the clear wheels get worn and turn a dull yellow color.

Works fine. Smooth wheels with no chance of scratching floor which I have a floor protector anyways on.

Gets caught on my carpet protector and traps me sometimes forcing me to fight my way out. If they weren't so much better than regular castors I'd be mad about it.
