After Kinship (New Departures in Anthropology Book 2)

I bought this book as it was recommended to me by my family therapy supervisor as a good introduction to basic ideas in social anthropology. It is really helpful in challenging our traditional idea of family and kinship. There is also a beautiful chapter on the house and the distribution of household roles between genders across cultures. It is an interesting book to read.
