I'm trying to wire my new house for some security cameras and this is my first attempt at terminating cables. There were a lot of options but I know that Klein makes quality items and decided I'd "buy once, cry once". This kit is great and easy to use (at least once I figured out what I was doing). The cable stripper is really handy and the crimp tool works well every time. I appreciate the added bag - it's big enough for another set of wire cutters and a few other small tools. Crimper is slightly padded so it's easy to get a good crimp without hurting your hand. Makes for an efficient workflow.

Solid tools, all three serve their functions well, and the set covers stripping, crimping (male ends) and punching down (female ends). The crimping tool had a stripper built in as well, but it doesn't work as well as the dedicated stripper. It also has a nice cutter. Instructions are reasonably good for how to use the tools, you can fill in the concepts easily enough by watching a youtube how-to video. The instruction sheet includes full color pinout diagrams for common cable standards, nice touch. I am new to making patch cables and found this to be an ideal starter-set, it handled my residential Cat6 wiring project well. I have had some Klein electrical tools over the years that have proven to be really good values, and I think this set is another example. Recommended.

I bought these to help clean up the wiring for my home network. I’ve never made Ethernet or patch cables before but on my first try had a successful cable. Before I knew it I was shortening all my cables and hard wired everything to the network. I got so involved I had to install switches and buy more cable and ends. I have never had my cabinets wiring look so clean. The tools are all great quality, but I haven’t owned anything from Klein that wasn’t. The stripper speeds things up and doesn’t cut too deep. The tool is solid feeling and has smooth operation. Haven’t needed to use the punch down tool but it too is solidly built.

The kit is small enough to pack away in a backpack, comes with a great crimper, stripper, and punch insertion tool. Don't hesitate to buy this kit!

I love this kit so much I've bought it three times, twice at different employers, and once for my personal use. I love all of the tools in it and haven't had any gripes about the quality of construction or the capability of getting the job done.

So happy to have this as a starter set for networking. This tools are quality and I was told they are some of the best brand to have. The handle on the crimper is soft and it ro feels comfortable in my small hands. The bag and RJ45s are a great bonus.

The Packaging 1. The product comes nicely packaged although iirc it was one of those hard plastics to not my favorite. 2. Nothing was damaged. The Product 1. The crimper itself it simply excellent. The blades are sharp, the crimps are clean and the outer coating holds up to you whacking it against RJ45 connectors. 2. The wire stripper is also good, had no problems with it cutting to deep when stripping my Cat6. They cut exactly as needed and are a nice include. 3. Zipper pouch is alright. I personally have a toolbox but I'll probably find some use for it. 4. I did not get to test the other tool included as I had no need for it, the Ethernet jacks in the wall were already wired. 5. Only thing I would knock against this product is the price. However, you do get a nice set of tools so its up to you to consider. Overall 5/5 Won't be needing to buy another one again. Went with this one over the new pass through ones because of apparent signal degradation. I used the included connectors on Cat6 and saw no loss in speed.

Excelente precio por este kit, ya que incluye la pinza ponchadora, un "pela cables" y además de una "punch down tool" que aunque no sea de impacto hace bien su trabajo. La calidad no hay más que decir, había comprado una marca Trendenet y me falló a los 2 meses, lamentablemente no lo pude regresar y opté por adquirir otras pinzas de esta marca. La calidad no defrauda, las pinzas son fáciles de usar, sin tanta presión hacen terminaciones firmes y funcionales, el pela cables es un gusto usarlo ya que corta bien el forro sin que dañe los hilos internos, sin duda lo recomiendo. 5+

Got as a kit to help recable some houses that had split pairs. Good kit, no problems.
