L'Oreal Paris Sublime Mousse by Healthy Look Hair Color, 40 Pure Dark Brown

I use to buy this product in the stores and it became my go to product to buy to color my hair. Naturally when I came across it on Amazon, I purchased immediately. Packaging was good. When I used the product I was only able to color about 75% of my head due to the product becoming runny, which I thought was odd. I never had that issue before.. It is a foam hair color. I dont know maybe I just got a bad one this time.

I was looking for a mousse hair color I used years ago. It was pre-mixed in a can and you only had to use as much as you needed, saving the rest for a future coloring. This wasn't it. This was little different than most hair colors, but it dripped more. I had to keep wiping it off my neck. And because it was L'Oreal, just like all of their other hair color products, it lasted about a week before it started to fade. I never have good luck with their hair color.

In some ways, I love this stuff! It's so easy to apply, covers well, and stays where you put it with no dripping or running. Being able to do a whole-head application each time without worrying about darkening ends is great, if it only worked. It does just fine covering my gray - no problem at all with this.However, the first time I used it (and found the color rather dark), it had faded enough two weeks later to need a new application sooner than usual. Even though I ignored this and waited another two weeks, the second time I applied it (and I use the "light chestnut brown), the result was a very, very dark and rather lifeless brown. My hair looks awful. Much as I like the application process, I badly need some Color Oops and will never use this product again. (Hate the result so much I'm throwing out an unused box.)

My hair is naturally blonde. This is the first box color that I have ever found that covers the gray, looks professionally done. I was spending well over $100 each month getting salon color and touch ups. Just decided to try this once and loved it. I have gotten so may compliments, even from my hair dresser. This also brings out the natural highlights in your hair, and is so gentle. My hair has never looked healthier.

I followed the instructions accordingly and it covered what needed to be covered and it lasted and held very well. When I washed my hair it was still holding on, though it was getting close to needing a touch up, it was just that, a touch up only, but not a full cover. I liked up and will be buying it again. The price with the shipping and handling comes to about what it cost in the stores with the tax including from the stores, it's a little more at there . This is more affordable, I like it.

This hair color turned my virgin roots copper. I will not use again.

I have been dyeing my hair for at least 20 years and both at the salon when it was affordable and at home which is preferable. I have probably tried every dye on the market! Since I have long hair sometimes it is difficult to do on my own. This is simple to use and does what it says; covers my gray roots. I will agree with other reviewers that you have to be careful what color you pick. I have medium brown hair and the Light Chestnut blends well and is not too dark or light. I have tried both the Golden Medium Brown (too light and golden, fades quickly) and the Pure Medium Brown (MUCH too dark). This was a perfect shade for me. Of course it is not going to last for six weeks, it isn't salon permanent color. But for the cost and ease you should at least give it a try. Long gone for me are the days of ruined bathroom floors because drips and squeezing out explosions from a traditional bottle. Oh did I mention I dye my hair every three weeks? I also use the Subscribe and Save option and never have to worry about finding it in the store at a good price and having it on hand when I need it. Amazon takes care of that for me.

This is by far the best hair dye I have ever used! I used to use the Iced Dark Brown shade to color my hair a couple shades darker than my natural color, but I opted for the Pure Medium Brown shade to return my hair to its natural color after a recent short stint with a subtle ombre coloring.The first thing about this dye that I love is that it really is as easy to use as shampoo! It's applied in the same manner and rinses out just as easily. The mousse consistency also keeps it from dripping onto your skin during the dyeing process.Speaking of getting dye on your skin, this stuff washes off of scalp and skin without a trace! I've never experienced that with any other dye I have used, and I feel a lot better not having a dark scalp for a couple days after dyeing.My favorite part of this product is that it leaves my hair feeling better than it did before I dyed it. It also has a great scent; it doesn't smell strongly of ammonia like some other dyes do.I love this dye and will continue to use it no matter what color I choose to try!

I love the fact that you don't have to mess around with dye - at all!! The mousse is mixed in a bottle and comes out a pump, which is easy to pump into your hand and spread all over your hair without worrying about getting 'just the roots'. It doesn't run, and it works in 25 minutes. The colour is perfect for me - not too blonde, not brown.
