Actually, the history of Nutmeg, is yes, Indonesia, where nutmeg evolved under ideal conditions. BUT, iSpice admits that their nutmeg is sourced in INDIA. Chefs prefer Indonesian nutmeg. Even though it is available in Ceylon, Granada, India, and elsewhere, Indonesia continues to produce the finest nutmeg.

My bottle doesn't have an expiration date but they are very nice and fresh looking. Nice fresh color, grates easily and tastes good.
