Yes it can be used on a marble floor. It can be used on any type of natural stone.

Q: Does this have to be used exclusively on floors or can it also be used on marble and granite tile walls and countertops?

It is a stone and tile cleaner for floors...I believe there is another product for walls and counters.

Q: What is the dilution ratio?

I have always used a 2-to*1 ratio and it seems to work well on my floors, I hope this helps.

Q: I have black granite floors and every cleaner I've tried leaves residue will this leave a film?

I don't recommend this item at all. I also have black granite floors and this cleaner, when used as instructed, left very visible residue and streaks. The only thing that works for me is vacuum first, then use a steam mop. I purchased this one from Amazon, Bissell 1806 PowerFresh Deluxe Steam Mop, and it works like a charm.
