Greetings, The Seiko 5 series has the same chassis dimension and should, therefore, be standard to all of their bands.

Q: Is a special tool required to change out the watch band?

Same as any other watch band with a pin retainer. I use a thin knife blade to remove the old band. You don’t really need anything to put the new one in, unless you think you might need he knife blade.

Greetings, The tan canvas band measures exactly 18 millimeters wide. I would expect that all the Seiko watches will accept the same dimension band. But if you have the watch in question, you can measure the inside width of the watch where the band will attach yourself to confirm it. Good luck! ;-)
