Excellent grass for PNW lawns
Perfect grass seed for my oregon lawn. Seems to hold up pretty well throughout the wet winter and summer. Hasn't needed much maintenance to stay green. Much cheaper option than purchasing sod. Watering 2 times a week keeps up maintenance. Grass sprouted after a few weeks and seemed full after 1-2 months.

Grass died after a couple of weeks
I spread the seed, Scratched it in and kept it moist. It germinated well and was looking good for a couple of weeks but then started to die. Eventually, it all died and other grass and weeds started to grow.

Buy it. You won't regret it.
this is the best grass seed i've ever purchased. Nearly 100% germination rate.

Grows where I have had issues getting grass to grow
My lawn is admittedly a patchwork of various grasses and I live in a cold climate (Minnesota). We haven't had a drought since I planted this two years ago, and I do have an underground sprinkling system. What led to this is a 25 degree slope where I had lots of moss and chickweed, and my neighbor used roundup (without my permission) on my lawn and his. He put in sod, it died. I put in peat moss and planted bluegrass and annual rye grass and put burlap over it and had it die over the winter, just like the sod. Finally I read in the paper that thaws/freeze and deep snows can suffocate bluegrass, but not bent grass. After about six years and two years after planting the bent grass I am about 95% filled in in a 6 foot by 30 foot strip. It seems to grow much more dense than the reset of my lawn and a better job of choking weeds. I am very happy.

The jury is still out, but.......
It's been a full three weeks since putting this grass seed down, and so far, I've only gotten about 25% germination. That alone is unsatisfactory performance, but.......the grass that is growing is beautiful and I can hardly wait for it to mature. The communication with the seller isn't the best, either. They could use some help in that department! I realize that growing grass from seed is not easy, and if you don't keep up with it several times each day, the results are going to be poor, at best. The seller has no clue as to whether or not I'm doing everything right for growing this grass, so I can't blame them for not getting excited about my grass seed not germinating properly. I get it! But I know that I've done everything proper, and still only getting 40% germination, and that's very disappointing. So, I've decided to order more seed, but not from this seller, and see how this next batch works out. I'll try to provide another update, comparing the differences between the two seeds/sellers. It's been 3 weeks since my 2nd seed order from a different seller, and I'm much happier. The germination of the 2nd batch is approximately 70%. This is much better than 40% germination. So, I know where I'll be going for my next seed order.
