Universal release agent is specially formulated for mold making and casting and is suitable for most liquid rubber and liquid plastic products. Releases molded rubber (polyurethane, polysulfide etc) from properly prepared models. You may need to seal porous models (wood, plaster, concrete) or certain modeling clay (including water and sulfur) with Smooth-on SuperSeal or other sealers. Universal mold release is effective in a wide temperature range from 40 degrees F to 500 degrees F. Features: When using silicone rubber, use SuperSeal only to seal model surfaces. Do not use the universal mold release. Universal mold release easily releases a variety of casting materials (epoxy, smooth-on liquid plastics, etc.) From a hardened rubber mold. Please use as soon as possible as this product has a limited shelf life. When used properly, the universal mold release improves molding efficiency for a variety of casting applications and actually extends the life of the mould. Adult supervision required. I have a few large silicone molds for projects. I used to use epoxy tape to prevent sticking of the epoxy in the seams. I didn't think a release spray would work and didn't want to lose my project (or the mold) because of bound epoxy. I finally used this on the sides of one of the molds because the silicone surface had some scratches that might promote sticking. The spray worked so well that I only used it for the next new pour. There was essentially no sticking. The piece popped out so easily ... I'll never go back to tape for this. I recommend it strongly and will continue to buy. No complaints; great product.
