Great bookshelf did not take up any space easy to put together

I'm giving this 4 stars because it's about what I expected it to be in terms of quality and met my needs. What you see if what you get, and yes, it's a Chinese alphabet soup import, cheap wood, kinda flimsy, and the construction is a bit odd, especially how they have you connect the two pieces (stacked on top of each other, then connected with little metal plates) and the many, many, many visible screws on the outside. It looks pretty from the front, not so much form the sides. I want to get a little piece of balsa wood to paint or vinyl to cover them all, looks quite silly. BUT this holds a lot of books, the colors are nice, the dimensions were correct, and it met my needs. I guess I could have gotten a local carpenter or Etsy seller to make me something better or DIYed it but I wasn't in the mood. So I recommend - with caveats. This is maybe more of a 3.5, I'm rounding up because it's a unique shelf at this price.
