Eco Vessel Frost Kids Discontinued 2014 Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Flip Straw (13-Ounce, White with Girl & Heart)

Initially, I loved this water bottle, I live in AZ and wanted a water bottle my kids could take to school and stay cold all day. It did great at that. The insulation of this is amazing. I could leave it sitting out all night and it'd still have some small pieces of ice left in the morning. My daughter took it to school with her ever day and loved it. But of course, kids being kids, she dropped it a few times. Every time she dropped it, it started to leak a little bit more until finally I had to throw it away because it'd be empty by the time she got to school.After that, I purchased the exact same bottle again thinking maybe it was her, that she was rough with it and did something wrong. Not even a month after she started using this one, she dropped it once and the same problem, it broke and started leaking all over. The problem is the ring around the top where the lid connects. While the rest of the bottle is metal and seemed well made, this one piece they made out of plastic and didn't seem to do a good job at that. It looks like 2 pieces of plastic that were fused together. And when she dropped it, those 2 pieces split and cracked so easily, it ididn't last her long at all.If you want a water bottle like this, do yourself a favor and buy a hydro flask. I have since bought one of them for each of my kids and that is a quality made bottle. Every part of the bottle its self is made of metal and the insulation has been working for us even better. It may cost you a few more dollars, but for that you will get a much more quality product that will last you a lot longer. Wish I had learned the first time my daughters water bottle broke.

Love this for my 2 year old, and also got a 20-something ounce Summit for myself! They are wonderful bottles -- keep drinks cold for HOURS, haven't had one spill when straws are properly in place (which doesn't always happen with a two year old by choice -- it is totally do-able for tiny hands!). I have had several Kleen Kanteens in the past and will not buy again from them after using this product. Three significant differences as I imagine other potential buyers are comparing the same two companies -- 1) Eco Vessel has straw cups which are most natural for development of oral musculature/anatomy (I am a speech therapist); KK has only Avent sippy tops or sport tops (which leak EVERYWHERE). 2) KK bottles are painted their color and easily chip and scratch which is considered "normal" wear and tear; Eco Vessel ARE the color you see, no paint to chip, look bad and worse ingest. 3) Customer service of Eco Vessel was amazing - the circular seal in the lid came off mine, emailed the company to ask what the trick was to get it back on and they responded in 2 hours saying a new lid was already in the mail to me. KK responded to my first email inquiry about paint chips saying I was "irrationally" expecting the company to replace a bottle that showed normal wear and tear (I had not even asked for a replacement!) then never responded to my continuing the conversation. So glad I found this product!!

We are enjoying the Eco Vessel Thermos. Great to pick my daughter up after school to find she's finished her water or the water that remains is still cold. ( and I can drink it!)We're also trying to be very careful since some reviews stated it may break easily if dropped. It's been dropped and thrown on concrete and asphalt and sustained scratches and dents. But so far, the perfect drop or throw has not destroyed it yet.I'm considering purchasing the same one for myself until my daughter breaks this one so we have a back up.It's a very good product.

This thing is awesome! We used this on a recent vacation to the beach and it held ice for over 12 hours. In fact, I think there were times it held ice for 24 hours. I am glad we purchased this because we now will use this in our daughter's lunch, as we know it will keep her drinks ice cold.

Update: 9/9/16I contacted the company and they gave me a code to get a replacement bottle. I just had to pay for shipping.Bottle rim broke after 2 months. It leaks everywhere and makes a mess. As stated by other reviewers, the coating washes off after normal hand washing.

My daughter needed a sealing insulated water bottle for school. She wanted something pink and I wanted something easy for her to handle. This bottle is living up to the test! It's keeping her water cool to cold all day and doesn't spill when tipped over or dropped on the floor, as she's fond of doing. It has only sustained one small dent so in expecting it to hold up well to her abuse

The first bottle I received had a broken top. I returned it and Amazon sent me a second one right away. It keep the water cold, but it leaks in my daughters school bag/lunch bag drink holder when not in the upright position. The graphics on the outside (the girl reaching for the heart) has started to wear off after only 3 months (only hand washed, never in dishwasher) and the straw cracked where it fits onto the lid.

Our household is a fan of Eco Vessel, however the kids line had fallen short in terms of quality. This is the 2nd Eco Vessel of this product style that we have purchased and it does not hold up to the standard that we are so accustomed to with Eco Vessel. The top cap does not screw on easily, allowing water to seep out of the bottle. Multiple times, my daughter has come home with a soaked lunch pail from the defective water bottle. We will continue to buy Eco Vessel, but will avoid the kids line.

One little tumble and it leaks. The top part is plastic and it cracks very easily. This is our third one. Will not purchase again.
