The good:- It looks and feels like a well-built product- On HID mode, it scans perfectly every time straight to my PC with no drivers needed. Works the same as if I had typed the codes in myself with a keyboard.- It scans everything I've given it and fast! QR codes, FedEx codes bar codes, long, short, weird. It works quickly and works well.The bad:- Windows does not pick up the driver for the USB virtual serial port and there is nothing on their website to help. I have tried on multiple PC's and other USB to serial drivers, but no luck. I really needed this mode, so I effectively cannot use the product now.-The user manual is not much help. Its less than 150 words in total and that's the entirety of the product support- The manual refers to a 232TTL serial port setting, but provides no pin-out to do so. I opened the unit up to check and tested the internally labelled pins with a scope and saw no 232 traffic.

Works wonderfully with our check-in systems. Allows us to check in members very quickly and can scan even a picture of a barcode on a cell phone or other device.
