It works but expensive
Pros:Great product with no gimmicky scent. You get what you pay for. It absorbs really quick and creates a glowy skin. Can be used under foundation or SPF. No greasy feeling and it evens out skin tone. A little goes a long way. Compact enough to travel with in a carryon.Cons:The container is plastic, it does not permit to see the content. Therefore You will never know how much product you got for your money. Very costly for a vitamin C serum.Overall:The product does what it’s supposed to do. At the end of the day it’s a buyer’s choice. You may find other products that work the same for less.

Quality for $$$
The glow this gives is soft, not that harsh, overly reflective kind some serums leave you with. It brightens your skin in the most even, graceful way. Over time, I’ve seen real fading of age spots too. Goes on smoothly, and I feel like this first bottle will last me a while (maybe 3-4 months?). It’s definitely a splurge though, but totally worth it. Top notch product from Tatcha! I haven’t tried the cheaper Korean ones and honestly I don’t feel like I need to.

Subtle glow for a splurge
Goes on thin and spreads easily, and I can put moisturizer over it without waiting long. I get a soft, even glow rather than a greasy shine, and makeup sits well on top. It does feel a bit tacky for a minute, so I give it a beat before the next step. The bottle looks sleek but you can’t see how much is left, and it’s definitely a splurge. So far it’s been gentle while helping with overall tone.

Decent product, but the internal quantity of the product for the cost is deceptive!
The serum definitely brightens facial features; however, the price for what you receive is deceptive. The container is large, but the product inside is not anywhere near the quantity you would expect.

Quality vitamin C serum for fading imperfections
The Brightening Serum | Vitamin C Treatment for Brighter, Firmer Skin – 1.0 fl. oz. (brand Tatcha): This serum comes in a tall, hard-plastic orange bottle with pump top. It's easy to dispense a pump or two per application. I apply this after cleansing. It absorbs well and doesn't feel sticky or leave my skin oily. I don't notice a scent. It seems to be improving my undereye circles and age spots. It's supposed to help with acne marks too, though fortunately I don't have those. The serum is of high quality and that's reflected in the higher price. I do think it will last quite a while, as the bottle is pretty large and I only need a small amount each time. Made in Japan.

My reddish post-acne marks have improved.
The 30 ml / 1 fl oz Brightening Serum was beautifully boxed/packaged like all Tatcha products.I’ve been using this serum once daily (mornings) for two and a half weeks. My first reaction was surprise because this is a clear serum. The serum did dribble a bit from the pump the first two times I used it, so I started holding the bottle almost horizontally, which was an easy fix. There are a surprising number of perfuming agents in this formula (towards the bottom of the list), including the vague “parfum/fragrance”, but my nose didn’t detect any scent when I applied it to my face, only when I first patch tested it on my hand and brought my nose right to my skin. This serum is on the runny side, so it was easy to spread. It absorbed quickly on my mature, but still acne-prone, combination skin without any tackiness, so I didn’t have to wait to apply a moisturizer. It felt like a very gentle vitamin C serum; I had no irritation. This serum isn’t oily, it didn’t dry out my skin, and I haven’t experienced any breakouts.I’ve tried quite a few Vitamin C serums, many of which also contained the very helpful addition of ferulic acid, but this is the first one that is time delayed. This formula also contains a lot of helpful botanicals, which I’m a fan of. I’m not sure if it’s the time delay or the combination of ingredients, but I have very fair skin that has had reddish post-acne marks on my cheeks for quite a while, and while they haven’t gone away, they are obviously less noticeable, so this is my new favorite vitamin C serum.Tatcha is cruelty free but there’s no cruelty free text or icon on any of their products that I’ve used, including this one. An icon states the serum should be good for 6 months once opened. Made in Japan.
