Chipped tip
Great while it lasted. Be that as it may it only lasted a whole 2 weeks before the ruby chipped making it ussless. The thing is if I hadn't seen the chip come off in person I wouldn't have ever known it happened..... not worth the money if this is a common situation.

Expensive, hard to justify the cost.
Nozel clogged on a regular basis. Had to run it 10 to 20 degrees hotter than normal or it would under extrude. Got tired of cleaning this nozel and went back to brass nozzle.

Does not last, Bad customer support
I ordered this nozzle specifically to print carbon fiber PLA. It worked great for a few months then one day my prints started turning out bad. After checking every thing I could think of I checked the nozzle. The ruby in the tip had chipped and would not print correctly anymore. My printer has a soft touch self leveling system so the nozzle did not get smashed into the bed and break. It seems to me the ruby may have had a flaw and the repeated heating and cooling caused it to crack. I reached out to Olson and had several email back and forth about the matter and final asked them for a replacement and since then they have stopped emailing me back. It was great while it lasted, but buyer beware.

Too Fragile
I got very limited use out of this item. I installed it and printed some PLA and PETG. The tip jammed and then fractured when I attempted to use a 0.4mm accupuncture cleaning needle. I would avoid this product as the expense of the materials would seem to outweigh any benefit of the nozzle. It is a nice idea, but I don't think it is very practical.

Works great for me (but you should know a few details)
I started using the ruby nozzles almost a year ago, I installed them on 4 of my printers (and I do print a lot for both home and work, I am an engineer) I used to change nozzles every month or so....I have not changed a single nozzle on any of my machines in almost a year with the ruby nozzle.....BUT!!!! I will admit I only use ESUN PLA PLUS (BLACK) as everything I print is used in engineering prototypes (brackets, fixtures...structural stuff) I never use any other material.

I didn't listen to the reviews
I bought two to go an a dual extruder gMax. I initially bumped the temperatures up 10C over standard brass because stringing is far preferable to clogging. After a month of tweaking settings I had to replace my PTFE tubing 3 times. I'm not sure how well these things can handle abrasion because I have almost never finished a print. Waste of $200.

good purchase
So far so good

clogs and underextrudes
I agree with other less than positive experiences here. I tried PLA, ABS, and PTEG all with same results: uneven extrusion, and stringing. For sure disappointing for a high price paid.
