Gateway to Arabic: Book 2 Unknown Binding

So many of the books for learners of Arabic make huge jumps and don't pay due attention to the hurdle that reading and writing Arabic present for the English speaker. This book (and Book 1) set everything out clearly with ample practice and carefully planned stages. The approach is practical rather than academic and allows you to read and write basic words quite quickly. I have made progress with these books that I have not been able to make with other resources. I strongly recommend this series for anyone starting to learn Arabic.

This book is largely aimed at children and, as such, does the job well. My reading of the script has now improved a great deal as a result. I would have preferred material more suited to adults.
