I really like it when I comb my hair with it, it holds my hair well, I'm really satisfied with it.

Works very well on my hair type. I have a lot of super fine hair. It's not crunchy or flaky, so I didn't think it would hold well, but this photo is of day two of my braids after sleeping on them with no protective cap and no touch ups. The pieces sticking out are just because my hair is layered. My hair is usually super frizzy, especially day two of braids, but they still look great with this product. I love that it doesn't have alcohol in it, nor any of the other bad stuff, and the scent is extremely mild, just smells clean and natural. I'm super sensitive to scents. To a normal person, they wouldn't be able to smell anything. And the price point is amazing. Highly recommend, for my hair type at least. I'm not sure how it would work on thick and/or coarse hair, but it works very well for me. Oh, and it's definitely conditioning without being greasy. PS I use protective braids because I'm on disability and it's helpful when I don't feel well enough to do my hair for a few days.

I’ve been using Shine N Jam for a while and it never disappoints. It gives my hair a nice hold without getting hard or flaky. Great for slick styles or just laying my edges. Plus, it smells good! I always keep a jar around

These definitely worked! The Jam itself is soft and doesn't get sticky on your fingers while braiding. It's not so greasy that you can't grab the hair and it is very moisturizing so the braids don't look dry. Worth the money spent on it and will definitely be buying more.

I saw a beautiful braider on IG using this product so I had to give it a try. For reference, I am caucasian and I use it on caucasian hair. I do intricate viking braids. They need to be neat and tidy. And, I need to be able to grip the hair. And I need the gel to not flake or be stiff. Shine & Jam delivers on all fronts. I can grab the tiny little baby hairs and get them in with the braid for pure perfection. I don't have to deal with fly aways. I can re-do my husband's hair every day if he wants me to, regardless of wash day. There is no leftover scent. There is no stiffness. There is no reason why I would try another product now that I've found S&J. Love this gel.
