Genteq97F5251 Capacitor PP Film 70UF, 440V, 6%, QC

I purchased this 70uF 440v capacitor to keep on hand as a spare part for my Trane X15 AC unit. It’s an exact replacement in capacitance/microfarads, as well as form factor. The actual size of this is 4 ¾” x 2 9/16”, but if you’re using a measuring tape it will look like 2 ½” wide, measuring across the bottom of the cylinder.If you’re going to try to change yours yourself, be advised the electricity these store can kill you. Make sure you turn off all breakers to the A/C unit, pull the T-handle breaker outside by the compressor, and discharge the existing capacitor by crossing any and all capacitor terminals together with an insulated screwdriver.Once you do that, take pictures of existing wiring, so you know what goes where when you put it back together. Since this capacitor only has two poles, it doesn’t matter which wire goes where… they’re interchangeable.Hope this helps.
