AMANTLE CREAM Size: 16 OZ

My 4-year old has had eczema since he was 4 months old. My cousin, a pharmacist, suggested I use this product and sent me some. I used it when he was little, but then moved on to prescription topicals. Needless to say, I have spent some serious funds over the years on prescription meds for his skin condition...some worked, some didn't. Then, about 2 months ago, I found a near empty container of Acid Mantle (AMantle) in my medicine bag and started using it again. It worked better than the prescriptions I had been using, so I ordered some more from Amazon. This is a very good product...it's healing properties are amazing. My son's skin looks great.

Nice smooth cream. Spreads and absorbs well. Didn't do anything for eczema. A bit pricey for little to no result.

I have been using Acid Mantle Cream for over 50 years with great results. Unfortunately, I just found out they no longer produce the 1oz tube. Apparently corporate greed has over-run the idea of customer convenience. So I am now looking for an alternative product.

I use Amantle every morning and every evening before bed. It was recommended by my pharmacist to help mitigate dry and cracking skin under my toes which had become very uncomfortable. I recently found Amantle hard to come by in the local pharmacy and was told by the company that makes it that it was no longer available. So I went online to Amazon and purchased a pound jar of it!! My fear is that someday when this huge jar is used up and I can't find Amantle anywhere, I'll have to experiment with other products to try and keep my feet comfortable.

I first heard of Acid Mantle back in the mid-70's, because my mom used it on her face. I decided to give it a try, because of the Ph balance. It is super as a moisterizer, but not greasy. Also, you don't have to use a lot each time, so it last awhile. I buy the lb. jar and the 1 oz tubes are handy for travel. I use it on my face, but if you have trouble with cracked, dry, hands, it will heal them. Also, because of the Ph balance, it is good for blemish prone skin. That is why a dermatologist told my mom to use it all those years ago.

I have been using this product for over 15 years. I damaged the skin on my thumb and index fingers in my teens using caustic materials without protection. My skin splits open in several places every winter when it gets dry outside. I have tried many products but this is the only product that heals the skin when it splits open. It will also prevent the splits from starting if I use at the start of winter. I rub a small amount on the fingers in the morning and at night. I also used on my feet to heal splits in areas that have built up skin around the split areas. The last container lasted me over 8 years.

We use this cream on our hands before bedtime as well on our two hairless dogs as needed. It works great. I also use it on my hands during the day when they are really burning from dryness, the cream soothes my skin.

Living in the severe, winter weather of northern Minnesota + having very sensitive skin to boot, I have found the Acid Mantle product works very well. I only wish it wasn't so expensive, but I use it sparingly to get through the winter.
