A purchase that you won't regret.
Actually purchased this for a friend who had recently lent me his Big Red Troy-Bilt tiller to incorporate soil amendments into a new plot. I don't do much actual tillage any more, tending toward attempting to maintain a less disturbed soil structure, but there are times when the counter-rotating tines of the Horse, et al, are the perfect tool, and this furrowing attachment is the perfect compliment. It is as far as I can tell, an duplicate of the product offered by Troy-Bilt, albeit at less than half their usual asking price. The dimensions, finish, and build seem identical, and after this past season's use it has proven to be every bit as durable and capable..If you own a Troy-Bilt tiller and don't have this attachment you are definitely missing out on a huge part of the machine's potential. While I no longer own a Troy-Bilt tiller, I had owned an 8 hp Kohler engined Horse previously for years, and their furrowing attachment was something that I had purchased with it when new. Used it for better than 20 years before someone decided that they liked it better than me and stole it right out of my potato patch one evening, where I had been using it to dig 'taters. Hard to beat for forming raised beds, planting, and shallow ditching. For the price you really can't go wrong, and actually, even at twice the price I never regretted my original purchase..

Better quality than expected.
I was expecting kind of a cheap flimsy metal product, but was happily surprised they use very heavy duty gauge metal for this. I’ve already used it today and it works excellent. It doesn’t say that it fits my model MTD but it is the same as a Husqvarna. Took only 15 minutes to assemble and connect to my Rototiller. Highly recommend.

I have a Powermate 196cc rear tine tiller (which is the same as the Southland). When this arrived there was some modification that had to be done prior to use. The part that mounts to the depth bar needed to be ground down about 1/4" on the top in order to make it flat so it would fit. Once this was complete it mounted fairly easy.I have a pretty large garden (120 ft x 60 ft) I used this to hill my corn rows (10 rows 50ft long) and it worked pretty well. We have very sandy soil so there is not much resistance when moving along so that was not much of an issue. I did have some issues with going straight as it has a tendency to drift and once is starts it is hard to get back on track. That is not the fault of the product but just is what it is.I was able to hill the 10 rows in quick time and am glad I bought it. This version is cost effective, with minimal work (grinding took about 20 min) I was in business. I would buy it again. For those without the ability to modify it might not be ask easy though.

A must have component for perfect garden rows.
This is a must for anyone tilling a garden to get those perfect rows, but by letting your machine do all the work. Its adjustable, fits several machines. My tiller is the Earthquake, yet it come with adadpers for other tiller brands. Put it together and on the machine in about 15 minutes. Gardening for me will never be the same! Highly recommend.

Does not fit Craftsman 800 series.
Does not fit Craftsman 800 series, but has enough parts that you can modify it to fit.Works perfectly after those modifications, such as Re-welding, and Cutting to fit.

Didn't adapt to my troybilt model.
Says it fits all models of troybilt tillers. Didn't fit mine. Took it to fabrication shop ended up paying $150 to have it modified. Now it works pretty good.

No modification needed for my Troy-Bilt Super Bronco
Assembly was straight forward. Used two socket wrenches. Comes with three differing mountings bars and instructions for what part to use for various models. The Troy-Bilt adapter for perfect without any modifications on my Super Bronco tiller. It's a solid furrower. Now, I had tilled the plot first without the furrower attached. I was glad I did. I can't image trying to furrow and till hard unbroken ground. It adds a level of effort to keep the machine going straight if you want clean rows. But till once without the blade, then till and furrow and you get nice straight rows. Beats the heck out of shoveling. No loosening, or damage, to the add on after first outing. Good buy for the price.
