Worked like it's supposed to. Took dirt off easy

My new CPO SUV had some clearcoat overspray that I didn't notice until weeks later. And the overspray was definitely at least several months old. Tried a bunch of clay bars from Mothers, Meguiars, etc, and nothing worked. So I resorted to cutting compound, still didn't work. So I used a razor blade to gently scrape off the overspray, which worked, but also sliced into my car paint a bunch of times. Based on forum reviews, I bought Red Magic. The extra sticky clay captured and wiped off the baked-on overspray like it was water. Brilliant product. I cannot recommend enough.

I really liked it and was exactly what I expected

This clay bar definitely does its job when it comes to removing heavy contamination and paint overspray. I used it on my car’s hood and doors, and it pulled off a surprising amount of grime and baked-on overspray that regular washing couldn’t touch. It’s clear the product is functional and good quality, and for the price, it’s a decent value. However, I quickly realized that after using it, the paint had noticeable micro-scratches and light marring. Even though I kept the surface lubricated, the clay seemed a bit too aggressive for softer paint finishes. To restore the shine, I had to go over the entire area again with compound and polish, which added a lot of extra time and effort to the process. So while this clay bar is effective for deep cleaning, be prepared to polish afterward if you want your paint to look perfect again. It’s worth it for heavy contamination, but definitely not something I’d use frequently or on delicate paint without follow-up correction.

I’m a past detailed- I’ve tried them old even the towels and mitts I always come back. The only downfall- if u drop it it’s toast u have to trash it

Great for removing heavy contamination but you will have to buff it after use. This clay bar is not for lightly soiled paint jobs but for ones that have been neglected. Used to work in a detail shop we used them all the time.
