Panasonic Lumix FZ28 Camera
I searched the internet for a camera of this type at around the £300 price tag. Others considered were from Nikon, Olympus and Pentax. I have experience of using all of these before, particularly film versions.I read various reviews and the Lumix came out top on many occcasions. My brother-in-law is a seasoned photographer with over 50 years professional experience and he has one and also recommended it. Particularly the fact that it comes with a Leica lens.I have found it to be all that I expected. I am surprised how lightweight it is. It is comparitively easy to use, given the complexity of today's digital technology and menus, and produces superb pictures. Even with the zoom fully extended and hand-held the results are of very acceptable quality.With my previous digital camera, an Olympus, I had great difficulty viewing the screen in bright conditions. The Lumix is much clearer and has the eye level viewfinder as an optional means if required.An excellent buy. I would recommend it to anyone who wants the advantages of an SLR but does not want to carry a variety of lenses around.
