Great Item for Your Tool Box
These little spacers are very easy to use, and are the perfect choice when trying to get your electrical outlet further out from the wall, so the cover fits correctly. These are especially useful when you are doing a tile project, or when the electrical box was initially installed incorrectly.

These work well enough.
While i am an electrical guy, you don't need to be to use these. However, i would always recommend getting a licensed elecritician to do any electrical work. Failing that, these are easy enough to use. I recently remodeled my kitchen. House was built in 1955 and has lathe walls (think plaster). So instead of painting again i did a full tile backsplash, which stuck the walls out 3/8 to 1/2 inch more than the original outlet plate. So now the electrical outlets would have been sunk in that far when putting the plates back on. Moving the outlet boxes out was one solution. But that would have been very difficult and time consuming and probably would have required cutting out the wall around it to move it then having to fix all the holes around the boxes before tiling. Instead of all that extra work i simply grabbed a few of these to use as spacers between the outlet and mounts, screwed the down, and done. Of course, depending on how far out you are spacing them and what screws are currently there, you may need toget some longer screws to fit the extra length required. These made the job of fixing my outlets easy and quick. Seconds instead of hours or days.

READ BEFORE PURCHASE
These are really good and handy spacers. You can always use nuts or washers but this make it way simpler and you get more than enough for the price to do a few jobs. As a general contractor or a DIY you will run into where some beams are not straight or even and oops the receptical does not fit right. Pull out some of these superman spacers and save the day. You should also keep some longer screws as well because if you use too many spacers you will need longer screws. you may also run into where they put Sheetrock on top of Sheetrock or didn't mount the box correctly etc. And honestly for less than $8.00 dollars it worth the time it will save you in going back over to remount the box of possibly planing down some of the studs or worst if the job all ready done and painted and you still want a near perfect professional look. Gardner Bender GSP-24 24 Piece Switch and Receptacle Spacers, Red
Just built a 4 bedroom, two bath home with a 60x60 attached garage. Every single receptacle needed at least one spacer top and bottom. :) I bought two packs of these, many of the outlets required up to 3 spacers stacked, top and bottom, and I never made it into the second pack. They work really well. Pretty easy to put in. The plastic is a bit soft. When you tighten down the socket onto the spacers it smushes them a little and you end up with a really firm finish. I will say that the max you can put on a standard length receptacle screw is 3. If you need to put more they still end up leaving the receptacle very firm and secure, but you will need to buy some longer screws to help prevent stripping out the gang box plastic. These were am easy fix for my situation and a great value.

Worked well for evening a plug
I had an electrical outlet that was recessed in the wall and looked awful. Used these strips to bring it out flush and now it looks good. Makes all the difference.

Easiest Fix
I am a DIY and have installed dozens of outlets. I usually use the adjustable outlet box so that I don’t have to pinpoint the exact thickness of the finished wall. But there are times that I wind up using the standard (fixed) boxes. It is truly a pain to adjust the outlet eventually. This simple fix is cheap and is the easiest way. All thumbs up!

These are a life saver if you accidently set your outlet boxes too deep
These are a life saver if you accidently set your outlet boxes too deep and don't notice until you've already hung drywall. Stupid mistake on my part, but these worked like a champ. They fold into each other at the crease and lock into place via Lego like tabs to achieve the desired spacing. Keep in mind that if you need to create a lot of space, these won't go as far as you think. In my case each outlet required 4 pieces, which is 2 folded together for the top of the outlet box and two for the bottom, This created about an extra 1/4 inch of space to get me level with my drywall. This came with 4 strips of what I would describe as 8 tabs (although some may call it 4 tabs if they count both sides as 1). All in all, for my purposes, I was able to fix 8 outlets with one order of these, or 2 outlets per stick, making up about 1/4 inch per outlet.

Works as advertised.

Very easy to install and works perfectly to fix recessed electrical outlet. As I only needed to fix 3 outlets it was practical to be able to buy a small package around $5.

Good product, worked well for my outlets after my bathroom was remodelled and the boxes were deep due to the tiles around them. Used them to get it beautifully flush. At 4 strips, you'll be using around 2 strips a box. So each package is pretty much good for 2 outlets, maybe 3 if you only need a little. My issue is that, they only have 4 strips a package. Why not put more in the same plastic baggy? I was able to fit 15 strips (3 bags worth) in 1 bag. It'll be more environmentally friendly as well. Another way to improve the package is to have a zip lock function so it can be secured if you have some left. Otherwise, 4 strips for roughly $5CAD is kinda expensive, but it's worth it if you're a DIYer just doing some quick repairs.

They work very well and save me a lot of time aligning the modern receptacle boxes. However, being made of compressible polymer I am not sure how long they will last before they start to crumble.
