Nice idea, but loppers work better
So my Wifey has some problems with her hands, but we’ve got lots of work to do in the garden and she loves it - so these seemed like a good idea.Unfortunately, even with the UK adapter to allow us to charge it, they didn’t work so well- and I think this is actually our fault. When you try to cut something that’s a bit too thick, you can force it, jump on it, kick it but eventually it’ll cut - and with long handled loppers or the extending ones, you can do exactly that.Unfortunately with these, you can’t. It’ll either cut or it doesn’t.Secretly, as well, by the time you’ve got through the manual and all the little warning stickers you do think that these are the most deadly gardening tool on earth and - disappointingly - they’re not.

Lightwreight secateur
A very good quality products (as one would expect from Ryobi) but let down by being a Japanese import (110 volts) and needing the additional expense of a voltage converter which drops it 2 stars. Otherwise, works well and is a boon to my wife with arthritic hands (light to use too)

Excellent pruners but be prepared to buy a Japanese adaptor
I need electric pruners as I have osteoarthritis in my hands. My previous electric pruners were half the price but they stopped working after 2-3 months, as did the replacement pair. These are easy to use, recharge quickly and the charge lasts much longer than my old pair. I gave them 4stars because the blade broke after a month of almost daily use, maybe I was just unlucky, but a new blade is £24!
