RecPro RV Microwave with Trim Kit | 1.0 Cu. Ft. | 900W | Direct Replacement for Greystone and High Pointe (Stainless Steel)

I planned for a built in microwave in a 24" cabinet in a basement wet bar. However, I didn't look for the microwave until after the cabinet was installed. I couldn't believe the limited choices! The only options I found in this size were $1,000+ microwave drawers or the RecPro. I took a chance on the RecPro and it fits, looks, and works better than expected. It has a built in (maybe a little clunky) look and it works great. My kids laugh now I need to buy an RV to go with my microwave. Definitely a good fine!

I ended up replacing all my kitchen appliances in my RV and switched over to stainless from black. As a retired building manager at Cal Berkeley, I’m very worried about fire prevention. I removed the open flame stove and gas oven in my 5th wheel trailer to help mitigate the possibility of fire. This microwave was as close as I could find to fit above the stove. It was about a 16 of an inch too narrow so I added a small piece of walnut to the face frame and all is good. It looks good, and works well too and at a very reasonable price. it’s not a 1500 watt model so it cooks a little slower then the microwave at home. I ended up replacing the stove and oven with an induction cooktop and put in a drawer dishwasher by Fisher and Paykel. The refrigerator that came with the trailer I pulled out and replaced it with a Samsung French door model RF18 in stainless with an ice maker. I also added a real nice stainless toaster convection oven by Breville. Finally, to complete the stainless look, the hood above the cooktop was also replaced in stainless steel. The kitchen in my RV looks and works better then my house. Having been both a graduate student at Berkeley for 6 years and an employee for over 34 years, I’m addicted to Peet’s coffee, a Berkeley tradition and an every morning must have. I bought a Jura S9 super automatic coffee machine and it is sitting on my counter so I feel at home on the road. Both my wife and I are happy with all the upgrades including this microwave. The coffee machine is plumbed to water so I don’t even need water to get my morning coffee. I stagger, blurry eyed, into the kitchen and simply press a button, within 30 seconds, I have a hot delicious cup of Joe under my nose.

Delivered within 2 days and was self installed in 30 minutes including attaching new vent panels..love it.

It seems to work wonderfully. Haven't had it long enough to actually give a better review, but so far we love it.

We bought this one to replace the Advent microwave in our 2014 Thor Motorhome. It said it was a direct replacement. Im thinking the older motorhomes may have had a larger opening, because the trim piece that came with this one did not cover the opening. What I did was take the trim piece off the original unit, cut off all the mounting sides, and screw it to the opening. I was able to put 2 screws in the bottom of the new trim, but none on top. I screwed 4 screws on the Old trim and it worked out good. Still have a small gap on top, but really not noticeable. And now we have a Microwave again. :)

I received my microwave it was missing a foot. It's a good thing my old microwave had same part I salvaged it and installed it on the new one. I got lucky.

It was a very close replacement for my old Dominic microwave. A little bit smaller than the last one both on the inside and on the overall dimensions which I will fix with a little bit of trim work. FedEx took forever to deliver this for whatever reason. it came well packaged though with no damage and it included instructions for both the microwave and for the trim piece. Even though the inside is smaller and I think it's a lower wattage it works well and it's very quiet.

Great little microwave. Works as it should. Perfect fit for the opening that housed our previous microwave that we had in our RV trailer.
