Maynard's Wine Gums 315g (11.1oz)

I love this wine gam. Not so sweet but flavorful.

These are the ones. Get these ones. Other wine gums look nice or may be cheaper but these are the ones. Yumm.

I ordered these Wine Gummies since I love gummy candy in general and wanted to try something new that I don't see locally. So I got these not quite knowing what to expect (but expecting it to be different than, say, a Haribo gummy bear). Now, what is a wine gummy, you might ask? Well, it's a type of gummy that's quite a bit chewier than a Haribo (which is on the chewier side as already). They're bigger and come in these shapes that are bigger than the average gummy. They're probably twice as chewy as a haribo. So they're chewy but not too chewy. They will work your molars a bit. They're not super sweet and frankly some of the flavors are hard to pin down. Personally, I liked the extra chew but didn't love the flavors. It was still worth ordering to try out if you like gummies in general so I still gave it 4 stars. Ok, but not for me. I had no issues with quality or freshness either. I think if you like gummies and are the kind of person that enjoys ALL the flavors of Skittles, you might love these. Now, me personally, I'm not a huge fan of orange or yellow Skittles. I eat all of them first, and then savor the purples and reds (and greens but only if they're apple). Clearly I am not the kind of person who is going to love all of these gummies. But they were definitely worth a try for me!

What's not to love about Maynard's? Originally from Canada, I missed getting to enjoy these delectable morsels...no longer the case. They arrive quite quickly, they are sealed and fresh. I would recommend buying this candy.

When I opened the bag I nearly gagged on the overwhelming chemical smell. I tried airing out the bag but that made no difference. Then they don't even taste like wine! Not even a little bit! And they're not even as good as regular gummy candy. Just a plain waste of money. Too bad you can't get refunds for food products.

I loved the texture of these but they tasted kinda off to me. They had a slight vinegary taste and smell to them which other reviews say is normal but my sister had the same kind that she bought from a store in Canada and they had no vinegar taste to them at all. Wouldn't get these again.
