Dr. Judy Morgan's Little Furball Critter Cave

I loved the over all design, but the opening was rather small.

Product is exactly as described, which is why I rated 5 stars. I posted photos showing 15 oz. pygmy hedgehog for people wondering if theirs will fit. The opening is not stretchy and is 3.5" diameter if you push it into an oval shape, but she fit in fine headfirst. Not sure what would happen if she were puffed up. Inside is very large, as described. My hedgehog kept going under the cave until I turned it almost upside down so the opening was on the floor. She went halfway in, then stopped and I heard scratching and thought her toenails were caught and I panicked because I didn't know how to get her out, so I pushed her inside to get some room. Turns out she was scratching the cave because of the wool scent and self-anointing! First time I saw that behavior. Took her out and am airing out the nest in case the odor is from dye or packaging and may try again another day. Hedgehogs are very sensitive to odors, so this could just be this hedgie's reaction. I have heard many hedgehogs love wool caves, so yours might love it. The one thing is I wish I could turn the cave inside out to air it out better, but the bulk will not fit through the opening. I also want to mention the wool is felted nice and tight, it seems like there is nothing for toenails to catch on, there are no seams even at the opening, and the label was easily removed to avoid catching, as well.UPDATE: Introduced the woolen cave to hedgehog's play space a couple times and she no longer scratches or anoints! She goes in and out just fine and has plenty of space inside. I may add fleece or something to make it less cavernous to her. She still doesn't get the hang of climbing up to the opening, so I squash it down a bit so she can't miss it. She has not yet slept or travelled in it.2.5 MONTH UPDATE: Hedgie now loves this cave for sleeping, resting, hiding, and travelling. It is large inside and does not fit well in her rabbit-sized cage. I wish the hole were a tiny bit larger - cannot get her out if she is puffed up - and she still can only find the hole and enter if it is nearly upside down.

I admit I didn't confirm the dimensions before ordering. But this thing arrived with a big old "small" on the label. It is super tiny. There wasn't an option to choosenthe size when I ordered. Doesn't work for my cat but the dog likes chewing it.

My ferrets absolutely love their caves! I bought two, both were similar, has great form and the hole is just right. Only fits 1 to 2 ferrets at a time but they take turns.

This item is SUPER SMALL! The hole is 2 inches in diameter and the ball is 9.5 x 10”. I doubt a guinea pig would fit comfortably let alone a small cat. Looks so much bigger on the website

My rats love this. I use it in their enclosed play pen. When I take them out of their cage they love to hop into this first. I’ve never washed it as they only use it in the play pen. It’s big enough fit both of my 11 month year old female Dumbo Rex rats. I love that it is made of natural felt fibers. That is important to me.

This is so perfect for my rats that I bought a second one. The opening is quite small, smaller than it appears in the listing (Something a little larger than a rat could probably fit through it though). Three of my rats fit comfortably at the same time.
