terrific at giving the big picture
Certainly if you are looking for a lot of in-depth, extremely accurate detail, you would be better off with Big Millers (not Dyce). This book, however, is invaluable for anybody who is starting an anatomy curriculum, because it clearly outlines the core items every veterinary student should know and doesn't confound them with minutia. It helped me immensely when I was first learning anatomy in undergrad, and I still find myself referring to it now that I'm in vet school. If you are looking for a book that tells you every tiny detail, this book isn't for you. If you are looking for a concise overview of all the body systems in easy-to-understand format, then I would highly recommend it. It's the only anatomy book I kept from undergrad that has proved helpful in vet school.

This might be ok for vet nurses but no good for vet students
I was hoping this was going to be a useful on-hand pocket reference to the key things you need to know doing vet science (the advert says it's aimed at vet students) but it's WAY too over-simplified and not enough detail. I wanted things like little tables with a summary of the brachial plexus, muscle groups with insertions and origins etc. Quick and easy memory joggers/ aide memoires, rather than trawling through Miller or Dyce.Having been through the education system once, I have learned that concise books are best!Vet students, avoid this one.

really liked this book as it broke everything down into systems ...
Was used for veterinary nursing A and P exam, really liked this book as it broke everything down into systems which made dipping in for revision really good and also found it very easy to understand. Would recommend for any student.
