Bad quality
Get what you paid for its cheap and shows it. The tool rest is tiny and cannot fit a 2 inch item on it like described. Bolt to keep the tool rest on is where the part goes so to move the tool rest it requires removing the part and then the tool rest and put it back together. Plenty of better cheap lathes around for hobbyists

Bought for my son to make wooden pens. He made gifts for the family and then made pens to sell. We'll worth the $ and a great starter tool

What a fun tool! I have spent hours working on it since I unboxed it. I highly recommend it. It's well worth the money. I've made all kinds of bowls and vases as gifts. The nice thing is it doesn't take up a bunch of work space. Make sure to screw or clamp it down or it will walk away.

Let me first say that I have never owned a lathe of any sort before. I received this and am pretty pleased. As it came, I put four feet on this and immediately put a piece of stock and started turning. Almost no setup required. Once I got used to the tool that came with it (there's just the one, no fancy gouges or anything), it was really easy to use. I ran a strip of sandpaper over it and it looked like "a thing". I noticed often when starting it, there was a delay, like a start capacitor had to charge up or something, but it was only like a second or two delay. I see the other items that came with it, and they look to be on par with the parts that I am using. No reason to think they would not work. I like it, for what it is. It will have limited use for me in that the maximum stock size I can use is 2" x 5", but I knew that when I ordered it. Very nice tool. If you are a pen maker or something like that, I'd highly recommend.
