I WOULD THINK SO…I BOUGHT IT TO USE FOR MAKING DYE RATHER THAN FOOD USE. IT MAKES A BEAUTIFUL BLUE, A STRONG BLUE. HOWEVER, I DON’T KNOW ABOUT ITS PERMANENCY.
