Sonik Blast CMG Whistle with Lanyard, Black

I bought this whistle to train a dog in the fields. It is small, nice loud sound and is comfortable to hold in your mouth. I have not been able to try it outside with the dog as I have had to much snow since getting it but, it should work just fine. I liked the price too.

This is the loudest whistle I have ever heard. It literally made my ears ring. I have it for emergencies and am taking it backpacking. I don't like having my ears ring, but the whole point in an emergency situation is to be heard. I am buying some cheap earplugs to pack along with it. If I were to ever use it, I would blow the whistle with earplugs in and then remove ear plugs intermittently to listen for a response. I am confident that someone could easily hear this from a mile away or more, especially in the woods where it is quiet. It doesn't require much air either. Truly and amazing product that will give you peace of mind!

Let me say this up front - THIS WHISTLE IS NO JOKE. Ladies and gentlemen, this thing is LOUD. It has a good sounding whistle to it, is the perfect size, and is even comfortable to use (except for the pain it causes your ears!). My wife and I purchased a pair of these for our back country hiking adventures. Our intended use is for emergency purposes, to find each other if separated, or as a last resort to signal for help. We have never had to use them in those real situations, and hope never to have to do so. I highly recommend this as a safety/rescue/hiking whistle. We have it attached right to the front of our packs and ready for use.

Great for high school games....nice and loud and clear. Do not use on a multi court facility, as this whistle is so loud it stops action on the other court. Knocked off a star cause the rubber piece it starting to tear. Other than that, this is my go to whistle.

I have used one of these for over 20 years. I lost my original one and was heartbroken as it had sentimental value. I was glad to see that Fox 40 still makes it.

For the $9 it's better than anything you can find at a sporting goods store or big box retailer. As an official, the whistle can definitely be heard outside and in a packed gym so the whistle does it's job, but the other reviews make it seem louder than it is. It is louder than the Classic Fox 40 but not by much.

I purchased this whistle years ago and have kept in on my key chain for easy accessibility. As I drove home after work Wednesday, I see a panicked young lady on the side of the road (which was the older sister), and when I look to see what the problem might be I see two dogs attacking a little girl at the bottom of the sloped grass. A man had just noticed this a little before me and I see him get out of his car and run down the little hill to help the child. He risked his own safety pulling the dogs away, but as he pulled one, the other would move in to bite her leg like a tag team. I grabbed my keys from my car and ran down to BLAST this whistle at these dogs. I rightfully figured, if that whistle hurts my eardrums, it's got to be painful to dogs. It was this piercing whistle that got both dogs to retreat without putting me in any harm’s way. It worked. The dogs retreated from my whistle and when they looked like they would have another go I blasted it again charging them as I did, causing the dogs to run off. This whistle a GREAT tool I never thought I'd actually use. EVERYONE should have this whistle on their key chain.

I've been a volleyball official since 1977, and have used a wide variety of whistles over that time. For the past seven or eight years I've used the FOX40 and found it to be a very good and trustworthy whistle. On a whim I ordered the Sonik Blast CMG and have used it for about 20 matches now. Its very loud, and because of the unique pitch, my whistle is descernable from my partner's whistle which is a good thing. This is now my whistle of choice and I'll contiune to use the Sonik Blast CMG for years to come.

Brauchte für den Job eine wirklich gute, laute Trillerpfeife. Die Fox-Pfeifen wurden mir von einem Kollegen empfohlen - war ein super Tipp! Die Pfeife ist wirklich sehr laut und auch dann hörbar, wenn man mitten in einer trubeligen Menschenmasse steht. Hab sie, als sie neu war, zu Hause ausprobiert - da haben mir direkt die Ohren geklingelt. :) Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
