I was very skeptical about purchasing a Chinese turbo at first. With that being said, I was very impressed with the quality of the gt45 billet wheel. Not only does it live up to name brand turbo quality it performs as one too. I highly recommend this turbo for a budget LS build.

Good cheap turbo

1st of all, just know the turbo in the pic is the one that will arrive if you order it., not some other GT45 that looks different or has no branding.2nd of all, you should be aware, this turbocharger is a dang BRICK!!! physically it's not much larger than any turbo you might have seen before but the exhaust housing is cast and machined from a steel with high strength and heat cycle tolerance---- being a true divided housing there is quite a bit more metal in the casting than youd find in say like an HY35 or HE351.... The unit arrived assembled, exhaust housing is draped in brown paper soaked in machine oil probably against oxidation (rust), the paper wrapped and oiled turbo was also inside a heavy gauge clear plastic bag zip ties shut so the oil can't leak out and ruin the shipping carton. Standard Amazon box inside of a box with cushioning of more compressed paper.I was sort of disappointed there was not included a data info sheet about the trim, dimensions, A/R number, etc... Or even slightly more details about the process they do before a turbo is ready to use. Instead the included handbook was an advertising brochure for maxspeedingrods... sorta funny considering I'm already a customer, I don't want your fancy junk it's just gonna go in the trash. WHERE IS THE PROPER DATA SHEET. IT COULD LITERALLY BE ONE SINGLE PAGE IN BLACK AND WHITE.back in the day, not long ago, when a race team got a turbocharger--- if not from specific turbo shop, the team would have to tear the new turbo down to verify tolerances, inspect bearing surfaces, verify order of assembly sometimes replace substandard internal parts and then rebuild it before using. Now we have a lot more options available and I suspect Maxspeedingrods is doing a fine job of it. I say that I 'suspect' and give four stars because #1 I have not used the turbo yet#2 would have liked a more detailed data sheet.... You could even skip the full color glam printing on glossy paper.

Everything is good and comes with what it says it comes with, it’s a great beginner turbo that doesn’t break your wallet, highly recommend
