Just what I needed
I bought this as a border for my landscape bed. We have torpedo grass which invades from the lawn and is impossible to get rid of. The torpedo grass roots are usually within the first 10 inches so we decided to try this border in the hopes it would slow down the invasion. We buried all 10 inches. I actually wish it was even wider because I've seen torpedo grass go deeper than 10". It remains to be seen how well it works. But it's very sturdy. Very thick and heavy. It was no problem to install, just unroll it, weigh it down with rocks to keep it unrolled. Wait for the sun to heat up the plastic and it'll stay unrolled. Fingers crossed that it works!

Iguana Hazard :)
Had this gap under the fence that was being used by Iguana's to get into my yard - not anymore! This product worked great but does require some patience to install. Here's some tips i learned:Need to flatten - product comes in a roll and will be a pain to cut since it wont lay flat at first. A few minutes laid out in Florida sun, flattened this out real quick - note this can also get real hot to the touch if left to long.- Install it warm - this is plastic, so install was so much easier if the product was warm then when cold. more flexible and easier to cut.- To cut I used a sharp utility knife - no scissors. I cut it similar to drywall; I scored/cut it with a knife and then gently bent it, till it snaps. It snapped clean for me and found also you can just cut it through with knife works as well, Scissors, tin snips didn't give a clean cut line - due to the thinness of product.- SHARP - the finished edges are rounded and safe but the edges you cut can be very sharp - could be the way I was cutting it but aware.- To fasten - I just used a strong staple gun and stapled it to the fence, and insured a min 3 inches was buried in soilThis product worked great, looks great and will be there long time. I am quit happy with it.

Good product but deep
Product is very good but it was very hard getting the 10 inch deep size into the ground and not having waves in it. Next time I’d buy a shorter version.

Good Stuff: but hardest I ever work relative to the resulting satisfaction
This stuff is super strong. Reasonably straightforward to put in (excepting where you might have to cut for water lines in your sprinkler system crossing it). I thought with the sandy soil in Florida it would be easy to dig to the required depth; however, don't forget those tree roots you have to cut over the 150 feet length of that trench you dig. And, you can't just slam that shovel down hard unless you know exactly where your sprinkler pipes are or you are ok replacing the ones you pop. Took three days, mornings, and ibuprofen plus hot tub in the afternoons to try to recover. Then, you get all done and you look proudly over your work and frankly, you see nothing! Ouch, how unsatisfying. If you need it, it is clear this product is rock solid. Make sure you have tin snips to cut out the passthrough points for the pipes that cross. You won't complain about the product itself. Just know what you are getting into as far as doing the job.

More expensive and more work than cheaper stuff, but completely worth it
First off, this is the only product I have found that has kept grass from growing into my garden while holding the soil and mulch in the garden back. Will this take more work than installing the cheaper stuff? Certainly. Did I still have to remove grass from my garden every year with shorter edging installed? You bet I did. The extra work and expense short term has paid off huge dividends long term (so much so that this is my second order, replacing some older edging in my front yard after installing this across my large flower bed out back.A trenching shovel is a must have to dig the necessary depth in my opinion, and I used a good pair of metal snips to cut to go around sprinkler hoses. Again, a lot of work, but so much better than having to de-grass flower beds every year.

Beast Mode Weed Barrier
I can promise you that no weeds will go through this heavy duty material. Maybe over or under but never through. With that said, it's 10". You should probably go grab a tape measure now and visualize that measurement. That means some deep digging for 50 feet in our case to get this thing set into position. We used an edger and spade shovel to create a slit in the outter edge of our work area and a rubber mallet to tamp it down. The nature of this product is hard to install but that's no fault of the product. The product is fairly easy to work with. It might seem a little wavy at first but once you back fill and tamp the dirt down it straightens right up.We used ours a little differently. We are prepping an area in the photo for a 16ft stone paver patio on ground that is unlevel by as much as 6 inches from one side to the other. Installing this product and leveling it with string lines allows us to have a template to level the land around and inside the barrier. Otherwise, our pavers and base would be overlyexposed above ground. The work is not nearly finished in the photo but in our application the material is buried 9 inches in some places and little as 3 inches in other places so that the top of the ring is level all the way around. Then we will add fill inside and out using this material as a guide to transform the terrain around it. Doesn't hurt that we also added some root protection in an area very prone for invasion.

Soil controller
Sturdy, holds the dirt in place where there are large gaps at the bottom of the raised garden (sloped ground).

Well, it's done....
Made a 26' X 2' rectangular "planter" on our property line to try and prevent weeds from the neighbor's encroaching on our yard. Had a dickens of a time trying to get it inserted deep enough. Tried to calculate for 2 sprinkler lines ahead of time, but once you have the border going in, you definitely don't want to yank everything out to make cut-outs for the sprinkler lines. Had to use snips while border was already in place. Killed my hands! A box-cutter definitely won't work on this product; it's too sturdy! This product would probably work best on a level yard. Ours had a slight (but slight enough to create a few problems) incline that we hadn't considered. Won't try a 10 inch again. It seems to be serving its purpose.
