Nice beginner fabric
I got this to do my first embroidery pieces on and I’m overall satisfied. The thread count seems to be good enough to get decent detail on the work and I haven’t had too many issues with it breaking due to the tension of my embroidery (I’m super new at it so I’ve been a little rough a couple of times). I’m knocking off 1 star because there are some odd threads of color laced into this fabric. They seem to only be up to a half inch long but I’ve found very thin metallic gold, light blue, and pink strands in this fabric so far. It isn’t a big deal where I’m going to cover it up, and they’re not really obvious at first glance, but there are a couple areas where I’ve had to do my best to carefully remove a random bit of color near the edge of something I’m embroidering (I’ve just used my needle to lightly pull at them).

Great foundation fabric.
Really great foundation for finer needle punching. No broken threads when I ripped out a section. Bounces back perfectly. Will order again!

Rough, loose fabric.
This isn’t what I was expecting. The weave is pretty loose and it’s very coarse. It’s almost impossible to transfer a detailed pattern onto. It won’t work for my embroidery project but it’ll be fine for my kids to have fun creating. I ordered ivory but it’s more what I would think of as “natural”. I’ll include a picture with a scrap and 1” lines for scale and a comparison to the fabric I’ve been using for embroidery (white).

Quick delivery time.
Loved the quality, not too stiff but strong. Used it to create my embroidery art pieces.

Weird fabric, NOT Aida, possibly not linen!
For the price I was skeptical of what I would be getting when I ordered this cloth. Some reviews are great, others not. I took a chance. First thing right out of the package is the stiff and rough feel of the cloth, it definitely had a heavy sizing/starch on it. I soaked it in hot water with detergent for 30 minutes, rinsed and dried. It lost it's stiffness but none of it's roughness and it raveled like crazy with just gentle swishing around in the sink - DO NOT PUT THIS FABRIC IN THE WASHER! The fabric is semi-sheer, it's lightweight stuff, flimsy even. Could one use this for embroidery or needle punch? Possibly but with an iron on backing applied such as Shape Flex by Pellon. I cut the piece in half and soaked one half in a walnut crystals solution to *age* it. I then microwaved the dyed piece for 3 minutes to set the dye and and some *age* lines. You can see the difference in my photos. I'll use the dyed piece for some grungy primitive looking dolls most likely. In the 2nd photo with the arrows, you'll see the fold lines from where the fabric was in the package. I was really surprised these didn't relax after soaking the cloth in hot water, it's like the creases are permanent. Oh well, you get what you pay for so I'm not disappointed really BUT the title of the product is MISLEADING and should be change ASAP!!
