【Renewed】 Foscam R2 1080P WiFi Security IP Camera, Black

This is my second Foscam, I bought the first one brand new several years ago. This refurbished camera works perfectly. Both cameras are easy to view with the app, the refurbished camera is newer and easier to set up. I paid the extra $3 for the product protection plan just in case.

My old stationary trendnet ip cam just gave up and I bought this certified refurbished foscam. I was not expecting a great experience for $40. The setup was painless with my phone and it was up and running in 10 minutes. I also have a Synology nas for video recording and it took another 5 minutes to configure.-The motors on this camera are virtually silent, you will not be able to hear them moving even up close.-Wifi connection is strong and stable, throughput is excellent, synology nas never reported s disconnection. With a antenna port, I'm planning to use a high gain antenna for greater range.-Night vision is good, image quality is excellent.-Talk into your phone and the foscam will playback your voice out loud, good way to scare off unwanted visitors.Overall super happy with this product.

Recent android app. and firmware updates have rendered remote viewing impossible. Worked great before they updated. VERY poor reviews in Google play store. No company response or resolve. Should consider dropping "Fo" from the company name and just go with "Scam". The R2 isn't even listed on their support site.If it wasn't for the IPcamviewer app, it would be completely unusable.

Can't tell it wasn't new out of the box. Works fantastic, the software, the hardware, all of it works very well. We can watch out dog when we are out, or just the house if out of town. It looks nice too, blends in, not some garish design.

Headache to use. Occasionally connects with phone while out. Changed router, no easy way to reconnect. I tried restarting everything as if out of the box. Camera just wouldn't connect. More of a headache than worth it. 360ish view nice when you can connect.

I use this camera in my kitchen to check on my two dogs. Gets a great picture. I recently had to reconnect it and was having problems with the user and password. Contacted customer support and they got back to be quickly via email, giving me steps to resolve the issue. Bang it worked. I do miss speaking to an actual person like in the past. Great camera for the value. We have Four through out our house.

This is one of my 8 cameras, it has great resolution and although it can be a bit of a fight getting it to port forward it works very well. Even the night vision is very good

I'm a computer guy but this almost made me cry. Never could get the webcam to work with Safari because I don't think it can. It says it doesn't work with Chrome or Firefox. Accessing by the remote connection timed-out in FoscamVMS and would only work if I went in and edited the camera info. My old Foscam works fine with everything. I wanted something more than 640x480 but I'm sending the R2 back.
